Wow, super hoppy, big ABV, with no alcohol detected except after finishing 2 glasses. Has a sweet finish, lots of hop oils swimming around in this fine beer. If it was a little less sweet this would be perfect.

Clear golden pour with a white head. Intense fruitiness to the nose. Peaches and pineapple. Lots of bubblegum and caramel, some sugar, and alcohol. The flavor is very sweet. Tons of bubblegum, caramel, sugar, and tropical fruit. Peach, some citrus, and a resinous pine note. Alcohol warmth, syrupy, and somewhat bitter on the finish. Was okay for a small pour, but any more than a couple ounces and I couldn’t handle this.

Tap - 12.4% - at Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours copper with a creamy white head. Aroma is citrus/fruity. Full bodied. Flavor is some brown sugar with a lot of citrus/fruit hop. Finishing on the non-dry side. It might pass as a highly hopped barley wine. Exquisite.

Clear golden in color... Aroma is sweet malts, sugars, citrus, hops... Flavor is intensely sweet, but balanced with a nice citrus and piney hop backbone... Amazing beer

Pours golden orange with a thin off white head. The nose is caramel, oranges, roses and a touch of honey. The taste is very high sweet and medium bitter. 4 x IPA? Wtf is that. This is a strong ale. The texture is sticky. Like oil. The body is heavy and the finish is long.

Draft. Clear copper pour. Excellent citrusy hop aroma. Very sweet malt bill, lots of sharp hop bite but quite hot and boozy. This is certainly all to be expected, but it’s still a bit much. Sticky mouthfeel but all around its a good beer for what they are going for.

This is a poor man’s Pliny the Younger (which is still a good thing!)- similar thick, viscous mouth feel, super hoppy bitterness but just about balanced out by the very sweet malt back bone. Great stuff!

On tap at Capitol Beer, Sacramento. Pours orange copper with a modest beige head and a fruity aroma. There is a thick almost syrupy caramel malt flavor with a carbonated bitter finish. Tastes like a hopped up barleywine. Whatever, it’s really good.
