Bottle split with Gail. Pours a fairly clear amber with a thick white head that falls off steadily. Big sticky citrus hops on the nose. Medium bodied, sweet with a slight vegetal note. Sweet with warm alcohol coming through into the finish and a bit of lingering bitterness.

IT’S AWESOME!!!! If you are a fellow hophead, and are stuck at your local liquor store on whether to buy this or not; do yourself a favor and buy it. I recommend drinking it alone reflecting on some great night you just had, with a side of toffee covered peanuts. If you like hops, you’ve found your beer!

On tap at Growler and Gill. Big hop aroma. Deep gold with lacing. Big floral, pine, citrus hop mix. Malt back just sweet enough. A fine beer.

Bottle from Champanes, this beer had a clear orange-gold pour with light brown at the sides of the glass, and gave a white and faint off-white head that was lasting, it left a sticky ring and lacing on the glass, it had aromas of grapefruit citrus and pine hops, some lemon zest and guava with toasted malt and bread, a little caramel, some malt and honey sweetness, the flavors were pretty simple with citrus, resin and pine hops, toasted malt, a little caramel and malt sweetness, the finish had resin hop bitterness with some malt and sweetness following, the mouth feel was light medium with a little bit of a creamy feel and had average carbonation, the alcohol gave light dryness on the palate, this was a nice DIPA but there was too much sweetness in this drink, less sweetness and it would have a better rating.

Bottle from Beautiful Beers. Pours hazy golden amber with a fine bright white head which lasts forever. Gorgeous Columbus scent with some malty sweetness. Taste is lovely; full malt sweetness, a big punch of citrus and piney hops and a lovely boozy finish. Reminds me of the Brewdog Hardcore IPA but better. Really enjoyable. Looking forward to the Simtra....

Pours a cloudy peach pear juice color in the glass. Tropical fruit nose. Slight fruity flavor of orange, citrus and passion fruit. A bit sweet. Not really a DIPA that i expected. Odd... but drinkable...

Orangey pour with a solid white head. Nice citrusy aroma. Pine dominates with a grassy, resiny stickiness. If you’re in the mood for a hop blast with a lot of warm alcohol, this will do it. A bit of citrus that faded quickly. Would I drink again? yes. Would I order again? Probably not.

22 oz bottle poured into a tulip. Bottled 9/10/2014. Courtesy of my friend Ed, thanks! Clear dark amber with two fingers of off-white head. Nice webby lacing. Aromas of toasty notes, citrus, biscuit, light floral notes. Tastes of candied citrus, toasty notes, biscuit. Medium body with a dry finish. Pretty good and well balanced, surprisingly not too sweet or boozy like some of Knee Deep’s other offerings.

Tap. Clear orange candy pour with a lancing of white head. Candy, pine, grapefruit, citrus, and candied orange peel. Full body. Sweet bitter finish. Nice
