4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle from Lee Discount Liquor, Las Vegas
Clean amber color with creamy head. Very nice aroma, hoppy, fresh, fruity; later, the animal side shows too. Good body strength, not too thick; caramel and toffee flavor, with just an acceptable touch of crystal malt; moderate sweetness; strong hopping, with loads of piney resins, reasonable fruity contribution; the final is a bit, pleasantly abrasive; long. It manages not to be chewy.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Orange and west coast flavour. Great hop aroma. The 102 IBU is an assault, yet good malting with caramel that makes this very smooth and drinkable.
Mike’s bottle from SF.

3.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
SF Beer Week event on Draft. Appearance is a clear and visible carbonation. Aroma is hoppy with sour fresh grass. The bitter taste is well balanced with some toasted malts notes. Great beer but the bottle conditioned version was better honestly.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tasted on cask at the 2013 SF beer week opening celebration. It pours a rather dark orange color with a bubbly orange head. The aroma is very peachy with some notes of caramel. The flavor is piney, grassy and very bitter. Almost inky in the finish. Just ok. I’ll have to try the regular version some time.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bomber shared with ck1, thanks bro! Pours a cloudy orange brown with a white head. Aroma has simple syrup, caramel, fruit. Taste is of orange juice and caramel. And not a particularly well mixed blend. Perhaps it was old?

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Dark orange/amber pour, with a minimal head. All hops in the aroma - citrus, pine, tropical fruit. Flavor is outstanding, with more of a grapefruit/pine hop flavor that finishes nice and dry, but... Palate is a little sticky for my taste. Overall, another outstanding beer from Knee Deep.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Almost a finger of head with a copper body.
The aroma is mostly grapefruit with a lemon injection.
The taste is a bold bitterness beginning to end. A honey sweetness playing in and out keeping a good balance overall.
A crisp texture with moderate carbonation and medium body.
A good DIPA.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
what a fun beer. Super hoppy through and through. Resinous hop aroma. resinous hop flavor, big fat bitter lingering finish. sweetness is moderate, malt is subdued, huge hop flavor, a little citrusy and tropical, and a big bold lingering finish. and the label is funny, too! cmon, it’s a mad scientist guy with a hop plant for a head. that’s gotta be worth some points.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Aroma of pine and citrus. Pours a rich bronze/amber color with just the right amount of off-white head. Intensely hoppy yet smooth; again apricot and citrus hops come through. Moderately sticky and astringent with a long and tasty finish.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
22 ounce bottle. Muted carbonated pour. Nice aroma. Bitter and hoppy. Tangerine. Some degree of floral. Pretty tasty even if lacking a bit of complexity that other Double IPAs produce.
