Almost a finger of head with a copper body. The aroma is mostly grapefruit with a lemon injection. The taste is a bold bitterness beginning to end. A honey sweetness playing in and out keeping a good balance overall. A crisp texture with moderate carbonation and medium body. A good DIPA.

Uber, Seattle. Clearer yellow-gold, stringy foam. Balanced heavy, alc-present hop. Grass, earthy fruit. Quite bitter. Tacky malt backbone. Tasty, solid.

22 oz., 2 month-old bottle. Too old. Too malty. Astringent, old hop flavor. Sweet bread, caramel malt, and old hop. This didn’t hold up well. Some IPAs do hold up well enough, even after two months, to the point where it is quite drinkable. This beer isn’t one of those. An example of one that does is Double Jack. Anyways, overall, this is just a two month old malt bomb. Overall, not good, but probably not a fair judgment based on the old bottle. Astringent old pine hop bite is the only hop profile this has. Soapy flavor, as well.

640mL bottle from Warners at the Bay Deep golden body, firm white head lingers atop. Pungent nose - freshly cut pine, leafy dried herbs, dank, citrus leaf, touch of tropical fruits and biscuity malt. Big body, chewy, resiny, drying, astringent. Brutal palate - stacks of dank resiny leafy pine citrus hops, malt doesn’t get much of a look in, hugely bitter, lingers for an eternity, the abv doesn’t register amongst the maelstrom of hops. Crazy liquid aggression. Enjoyable, but not for mere mortals.

From bottle in IPA glass. Pours clear amber with a beautiful two-finger head with some stamina. Piney citrus aroma with a hint of peach. The tri-continent malt base is a nice canvas under a very smooth but solid bitter finish. An excellent DIPA.

Bomber. Pours golden amber hazy with off white head. Aroma is sweet honey floral. Taste is sweet and piney with a sweet grapefruit piney finish. One of my favorite Knee Deep i’ve tried.

Bottle. Head is initially average sized, frothy, white, mostly lasting. Body is medium to dark yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain, cookie), moderately hoppy (grapefruit, apricot, resin), with notes of plastic, vegetables, bile. Flavor is moderately to heavily sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, moderately to heavily bitter, unclean/plastic. Medium to full body, watery/syrupy texture, lively carbonation, lightly astringent, moderately to heavily alcoholic. I’d tried Breaking Bud here in Maui last month, and could swear I actually rated it, but perhaps it was so awful I just dumped it without going through the pain of reviewing it formally. Well, this one is just is bad, and for similar reasons...lots of plastic and rotting fruit/vegetable odor in the nose, and that nastiness comes back big time in the finish as well. A terrible beer, and after two samples, looking like it could be a trend with this brewery.

Fruity and buttery aromas to start, bitter grassy flavour takes over quickly for a long finish.

Golden. Bitter bit balanced. Hoppy. Tasty. Takes a while to drink. A wine of beers.
