Overall, OK, but too many bittering hops, not enough aromatic ones. The aromatic hop notes were nice, however.

22 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 5/13/2014. Pours crystal clear deep orange amber color with a 2 finger dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass. Aromas of big peach, pineapple, mango, tangerine, grapefruit, orange peel, lemon zest, floral, grass, pine, caramel, bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Very nice aromas with good complexity and balance of juicy citrus/tropical hops and nearly balanced malt sweetness; with great strength. Taste of big peach, pineapple, mango, tangerine, grapefruit, orange peel, lemon zest, pine, floral, grass, caramel, bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Moderate amount of pine/grassy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of peach, mango, tangerine, pineapple, grapefruit, orange peel, pine, floral, grass, caramel, bread, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Very nice complexity and robustness of juicy citrus/tropical hops and fairly balanced malt sweetness; with a great malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full bodied; with a smooth, fairly creamy, and moderately crisp/sticky mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with only a slight warming present after the finish. Overall this is a damn good DIPA. All around nice complexity, balance, and robustness of juicy citrus/tropical hops and caramel/bready malt sweetness; and very smooth and crisp to sip on for the the big ABV. A very enjoyable offering.

22 oz bottle. Clear brown with an off-white head. Nose is orange marmalade, toffee, pineapple and papaya. Super resiny and oily nicely cut by a sharp buzz but still quite heavy. Taste is grapefruit peel, caramel, pine and bitter lemon. Big and chewy but not so nuanced.

Bottle split at Bruce’s pad, from the Big Sur Taphouse shop, 12/05/14 Hazed orange amber with a moderate off white swirl and edgework. Nose carries dankish hop tones, bitter orange, mandarin, pine, straw, light spice, lemon peel. Taste comprises carmel maltings, bitter grapefruit, candied orange peel, light spice. Medium + body, fine carbonation, semi aggressive hop bitterness in the close. Ok DIPA.

Bomber. Pour is a deep orangish copper with some haze and a big head. Aromas are kind of a dank hops with some resin and caramel. Flavor is caramel driven with lots of herbal and resiny hops. Sticky and sweet. Not exactly my thing, but decent.

650ml bottle from Whole Foods SoMa, San Francisco, CA

Bottled 03/06/14 - Pours dark orange with a large head. Aroma of spicey hops, grass, lemon, caramely malts and hints of pesto(!). Taste is sweet, malty and hoppy with stingy bitterness, hints of glue and grass. Finish is sweetish, heavy malty and caramely with lingering bitterness, toffee and ripe fruits. Quite malty and heavy, feels a bit unbalanced.

65 cl bottle @ home, bottled 06.03.2014
Aroma is rather odd with pesto(!). Also some fruity hops in the background. Flavour has pesto, some grassy hops, herbal tones and some caramel. Also some gluey tones. Finishes with more grass and lingering hops. Rather herbal and unusual DIPA – but not bad. The pesto feels rather overwhelming here.

Tasting at Bruce’s pad. Thanks to Colin for another DIPA treat. Hazy gold beer, residual white head. Smooth softish palate with good fine carbonation. Light creamy malt supports crisp fresh orange hops. Lesser hop skunk. Finishes smooth with hop spice lingering on. I found this light.and easy going!

Bomber from Weilands. Orange pour with thin light tan head and spotty stick. Aroma is malt, pine, little candied, alcohol. Tastes are orange, pepper, grass, pine, honey. Little boozy. Slick oily palate. Good with hot thai food.
