3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bomber purchased from Whole Foods. I rated the IPA earlier and I’m again surprised this is the 2nd rating for something I bought at WF. This beer has a really off aroma and taste- its the same (astringent?) taste I had on the IPA, but more or worse on this effort. Its clear and nicely filtered but man there is something really not enjoyable from what could be considered a Hop Monster of a beer. Hopefully they keep tweaking things and this beer raises to the Cali DIPA level.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Flaske: Orange let diset. Duft af sød malt og masser af amerikansk hume. Lækker drikbar øl med en sødme der matcher humlen. Dejlig øl.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pour on tap at One Eyed Betty, clear straw yellow pour with white head, aroma brought notes of big dank, pine, weedy hops into a bit of orange and grapefruit. Taste is a mix of onion, garlic, resin, hints of grass, touch of slight orange, finishing bitter, dry. Eh, the vegetal hop notes ruin it a bit.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Alcohol present and overt resin and earth hops. Lots of dank. Clear orange with a full white head that lingers. Taste is grassy and dank. High bitterness. This does not work as well as most of their awesome hop explosions.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 19/20
Splitting this one with a friend it pours a very ugly color. A dirty grey copper color. Not much of a head just bubbles rise to the top. An extremely ugly beer. A pretty decent hoppy aroma. A mix of citrus and floral all around. A potent upfront hoppy flavor. More of a floral hop note in the taste. Pretty good double IPA.

3.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Rich body and wonderful bitter hop aftertaste. Not much malt sweetness, but malt sure added to body. Reddish amber color.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle: clear, dull honey straw with light head but good lace. Lifted caramel crystal malt with huge fresh ripe hops. Tropical. Very fresh but rich. Dry not sour and with medium bitterness. Rich dense balanced and long. Huge flavor but it works.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle from Brewdog bottle shop on Gray’s Inn Road. Hazy dark gold with a slim creamy white head. Aroma of pine, resin, grapefruit, citrus peel. Similar in the taste, with some caramel malts, candy, nice lingering bitterness. Full mouthfeel, well accommodated alcohol. Excellent.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Really good DIPA. On tap at Appalachian Vinter- had 6 oz which was plenty. Pours a dark gold- not much head. All pine, resin, citrus, grapefruit in the nose and palate. Definite dankness to it that works. Bit on the sweet side. Columbus hops apparent and somewhat in-your-face. Alcohol is not that transparent. Great for the style.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
22 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 5/13/2014. Pours crystal clear deep orange amber color with a 2 finger dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass. Aromas of big peach, pineapple, mango, tangerine, grapefruit, orange peel, lemon zest, floral, grass, pine, caramel, bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Very nice aromas with good complexity and balance of juicy citrus/tropical hops and nearly balanced malt sweetness; with great strength. Taste of big peach, pineapple, mango, tangerine, grapefruit, orange peel, lemon zest, pine, floral, grass, caramel, bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Moderate amount of pine/grassy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of peach, mango, tangerine, pineapple, grapefruit, orange peel, pine, floral, grass, caramel, bread, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Very nice complexity and robustness of juicy citrus/tropical hops and fairly balanced malt sweetness; with a great malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full bodied; with a smooth, fairly creamy, and moderately crisp/sticky mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with only a slight warming present after the finish. Overall this is a damn good DIPA. All around nice complexity, balance, and robustness of juicy citrus/tropical hops and caramel/bready malt sweetness; and very smooth and crisp to sip on for the the big ABV. A very enjoyable offering.
