what a fun beer. Super hoppy through and through. Resinous hop aroma. resinous hop flavor, big fat bitter lingering finish. sweetness is moderate, malt is subdued, huge hop flavor, a little citrusy and tropical, and a big bold lingering finish. and the label is funny, too! cmon, it’s a mad scientist guy with a hop plant for a head. that’s gotta be worth some points.

Draught @ The Pony Bar - Hell’s Kitchen, New York, NY
Pours hazy golden with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, citrus, grape, herbal and alcohol. Taste is medium sweet and medium bitter with a long warm, malty, citrus and grape finish. Body is full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Dorado limpio y espuma blanca compacta. Aromas dulce de mermelada de melocotón con pino y menta. Cuerpo medio, sedoso, trago limpio con sabor meloso, afrutado y final de amargor intenso, que roza la astringencia, seco y persistente.

This one is worth the price. Excellent malt/hop balance, great mouthfeel, solid finish. A good one to crack open after work and nurse during a game.

25th May 2015: on tap in the Yard House, Irvine. Yet another hop bomb, this light amber one had a white head and an aroma of citrusy fruits dragged through the dirt. Bitter and hop laden from the first sip to the last, could have been any number of West Coast breweries DIPA (Hanger 24 for instance). Decent and a delight for any hop lover.

102 IBU? Still fairly smooth, deep golden body with a nice silly white head. Hops rule both the aroma and taste (as expected), gives a nice pleasant glow. Lingering hoppiness, although not as much as you’d think

Draught at Yard House in Waikiki. Incredible punch of citrus hop with a lot of malt behind it. Packs a massive punch.

Really nice hoppy pine resin and citrus just balanced with the malt. Medium light body. This hit the spot just right and really refreshing and not overly slick for a dipa. Just the right amount of bitterness for me.
