This beer is a classic Red Ale brewed with British malts, East Kent Golding hops and fermented with Irish Ale yeast, but with a West Coast spin to it. Must I say Amarillo. Once you taste it, you’ll be back for more.

The smell is a little funny, a bit of butter maybe. Looks nice though, good red. This is a pretty straightforward red ale, and I’m digging easy and unassuming this evening.

Bottle from Taylor’s Market, Sacramento. Pours reddish brown with a rich beige head and a toffee aroma. There is a slightly sour smoked malt flavor with a very dry bitter finish. Very well-balanced and drinkable.

Bomber from Taylor’s Market in Sacramento, CA. Pours a very, very dark mahogany with a foamy beige head. Smells of rough roast malt, sweet with a hint of chocolate, with some floral aspects. Med body with foamy carbonation. Flavor is roast malt with a light touch of chocolate. Hop seems to vary between citrus and pine. Kind of a rough, unsmooth finish. Which is ok, it adds character.
