COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Knee Deep’s 2 year Anniversary brew. The Imperial Tanilla was brewed with twice as many vanilla beans as its brother (Tanilla), which compliments this wonderfully balanced, yet full bodied brew with chocolate, vanilla and espresso flavors.

Black with a beige head. Aroma is vanilla, sausage, floral hops, chocolate. Medium bodied, greasy mouthfeel, well balanced on the palate. Taste is vanilla, bologna, chocolate, pecans. A little strange.

A chocolate fudge sweetness dominates the aroma with slight tan head and spots of lacing. Chocolate covered coffee flavored marshmallows is my best way of explaining the taste. Carbonated with a creamy, smooth finish. Outstanding Imperial Porter that I will have try again!

Pour from a bomber. Dark brown. Thin tan head. Nose is burnt chocolate, roasted malt and vanilla. Mouthfeel is on the thin side, but refreshing and drinkable. Mild booze on the finish.

There's a sweet choc and vanilla aroma from this dark brown beer with an offwhite head. The sweetness from the choc mixes well with the vanilla leaving more of a vanilla bean flavor towards the end of the taste. The beer finishes out with a slight alcohol burn with coffee beans. This brew is a full bodied brew with low carb. Not a bad beer at all. Worth a try.

This one really has the coffee and espresso making it. Almost smokey but I’ve learned its the espresso making it smokey.

22 oz bottle shared by Tmoney99 from notes. Pours dark brown to black in color with a small beige head. The aroma and flavor have roasted malt, chocolate, quite a bit of vanilla, light coffee. Smells and tastes pretty good, but a touch thin. I like this, but it doesn’t compare to their hoppy beers.

22 ounce bottle. Pours almost black with a nice tan head. Aroma of malt, vanilla, and chocolate. Taste is roasted malt, vanilla, chocolate, and some coffee. Very good. Liked the balance.

Sweetness in the aroma, roasty coffee notes. Dark brown with a thick tan head that dissipates pretty fast. Little sweet vanilla like taste with roasty alcohol forward finish. A bit more vanilla please. Very smooth otherwise.

Knee Deep has a good reputation, so I was surprised at how lacking this beer was, I think the grain bill needed to be stepped up to compensate the amount of vanilla, the body was thin and watery like vanilla extract, taste is okay very light roast, hints of vanilla nothing astounding.

Bomber from waterboy, cellar aged 2 months, and served at cellar temperature, thanks Ric! Pours a dark brown with a tan head. Nice streaky lacing. Aroma has caramel, light roast, molasses and some vanilla. Taste is of sweet caramel, brown sugar, some molasses and sweet vanilla. Perhaps some gingerbread with certainly some spice. Medium to full bodied, with a slight alcohol presence. Finishes more balanced between sweet and bitter than expected. Tangy spice. Light ginger. This is a very interesting take on a strong porter. Would be curious for the standard tanilla. 14.2

Poured from a bomber into a snifter glass dark brown with a thin tan head. Aroma is cocoa coffee. Flavor is ever so slight vanilla-wish it were more. Cocoa. Espresso (sorta) Balance is good. Thin but then it is a porter. Drinkable.
