COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Knee Deep’s 2 year Anniversary brew. The Imperial Tanilla was brewed with twice as many vanilla beans as its brother (Tanilla), which compliments this wonderfully balanced, yet full bodied brew with chocolate, vanilla and espresso flavors.

Black with a beige head. Aroma is vanilla, sausage, floral hops, chocolate. Medium bodied, greasy mouthfeel, well balanced on the palate. Taste is vanilla, bologna, chocolate, pecans. A little strange.

Bottle a few months back. Big black pour, little head. Big vanilla nose mixed with sweet roast, and espresso. Palate is big on the creamy espresso, medium roast, and lots and lots of vanilla, sweet, but the very finish almost balances it out with some bitterness. Yum!

Dark brown/almost black pour with a light brown head. Aromas of espresso, vanilla, and notes of cocoa. Flavor is creamy and roasty malts with nice vanilla undertones. Easy to drink. Respectable brew.

Bottle. 4/29/14. Pours deep brown with a fluffy, bubbly light-brown head. Aroma is creamy, sweet, vanilla, dark malts, earth, hint of grass, chalky, clean. Taste is bittersweet, vanilla (comes through nicely), cereal, leather, earth, dark malt, light hints of dark fruit; finished is long vanilla and a pronounced leathery bitterness. Dense lacing. Very full-bodied and creamy. Medium-low carbonation. Really nice and tasty.

Pours thick dark blackish unclear with a big creamy cocoa colored head. Aroma brings some light sweet vanilla and subtle coffee like malts. Flavor brings some bitter roasted malts and some vanilla that is a little too subtle with oat flavors as well.

Black with a thick head. Vanilla and oak aroma with a hint of cherries. Very well balanced bittersweet flavor. This is like an amazing chocolate bar in liquid form.

Bottle. Dark cola color with a thick off white head. Aroma is caramel, roasted malt and piney hops. Taste follows suit and adds a touch of citrus from the hops and a hint of vanilla in the finish. Great balance. Rich with relatively strong carb. Excellent and much better than the non-imperial version.

Bottle. Dark mahogony beer with a tan head. Caramel and malt aroma. Caramel and light toffee flavor with light vanilla. Medium bodied. Caramel and light toffee lingers with light coffee.

22 ounce bottle, bottled on date of 02/05/14. Served in a snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with an inch tan head. Head retention and lacing are both good. Aroma is very nice, the brew smells like vanilla, roasted malt, chocolate, and some coffee. Not surprisingly, the taste is similar to the aroma. It tastes like roasted and burnt/charred malt, bittersweet chocolate, vanilla, coffee, and some molasses. Nice mix of both bitter and sweet flavors. Mouthfeel/body is medium/full, it’s creamy and has a moderate amount of carbonation. 10% ABV is well hidden. I think this is a good brew, I wouldn’t mind picking up another bottle. $6.99 a bomber.

An incredible beer. One of our favorites. Pours a beautiful deep black with a thick tan head. Smells awesome, mostly vanilla, but some caramel, cinnamon and nutmeg in the smell. Taste is creamy, starts off with vanilla and cinnamon, then some macadamia nuts and toasted coconut in the finish. Great for a cold night. Some of the most natural tasting vanilla we’ve had in a beer. Had in the bottle. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at the brewery, pours coffee black, tastes like Cherry Coke. Not my style.
