3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
From bomber to glass. Aroma of rich biscuit malt. Some slight spice from the rye, but had hoped for more. Pours an amber-chestnut with a light tan head. Taste is rich malt with slight chocolate. Alcohol is present. Hops are restrained with grass, slight citrus and a little earth. A little "mole sauce" on the back half. Moderate low bitterness belies the IBUs. Missing a little something.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Pours clear amber with a lasting creamy head that leaves excellent lacing. Aroma of caramel, pine and coffee. Hides the alcohol well. Medium bitter and lightly sweet. Average carbonation, medium body, and a long bitter finish, bitter taste into the far finish.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
(Rating #5486)

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
My Bottom Line:
Toasted bread and fruity caramel support coniferous hop resins in this rich and flavorful strong ale.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A sheet of foam settles atop the mahogany gown.
-Though intense, the flavor profile is rather balanced.
-Sweetness levels are kept in check.
-The toastiness is very enjoyable.
-This was a nice surprise! The flavor profile is a cousin of Arrogant Bastard, I would say.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Amber. Pine. Citrus. Heavy pine taste. Pretty heavy thick mouthfeel. Creamy/syrup. Decent, but not as good as I hoped it would be.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Brownish amber with off white head. Aroma is sweet malt, citrus and piney hops. Taste is extremely piney, borderline cleaning product. Citrus and caramel notes support with a slightly roasty finish. Thickish syrupy palate with moderate carbonation. Not my favorite offering from Knee Deep.

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Pours a reddish amber-brown with a one finger tan head with good lacing. Aroma is of pine, sweet malts, rye, citrus, caramel, bready malts, and some toffee. Taste is about the same as the aroma with maybe a little more hoppyness. Has a medium full body with a semi creamy mouthfeel and a slighty dry, moderately bitter, long finish. Overall, a pretty tasty, complex strong ale.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle shared by Moose. This was much later in the evening so my notes are fairly thin. Tasty with some sweet malt, resinous hops and lingering bitterness. Good.

Pours cloudy brown with tan head and some lacing. Aroma of rye, dark fruits, and toasted malts. Taste is the same with citrus hops. Very bitter. Complex brew.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bomber from... BevMo? Yeah, I think that’s it. Anyway, pours a murky amber brown Nice lacy off-white to yellow-stain foam head. Aroma is solid of toasty biscuit and cinnamon malts, with the Centennial hops carrying the nose. The rye comes through immediately on the first sip. Followed by more of that solid bready/cinnamon malt and clean (but somehow gritty?) hoppy finish to balance things out. Lingers sweetly on the tongue and teeth, without tipping over into oiliness. Really well done beer. Another from Knee Deep. On the pricey side, but consistently putting out quality stuff.
