3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bomber from Beverages 4 Less in Santee, CA. Pours clear dark ruddy copper with a creamy beige head. Aroma is quite pine/citrus over firmly roasted malt. Full bodied. It’s very resin/citrus hoppy. Almost burningly so. The malt is typical "red" roast, and it’s strong enough to stand up to the huge hop bill. This ale screams NW. Brilliant.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
My Bottom Line:
Toasted bread and fruity caramel support coniferous hop resins in this rich and flavorful strong ale.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A sheet of foam settles atop the mahogany gown.
-Though intense, the flavor profile is rather balanced.
-Sweetness levels are kept in check.
-The toastiness is very enjoyable.
-This was a nice surprise! The flavor profile is a cousin of Arrogant Bastard, I would say.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
22oz bomber pours with a clear amber body with some ruby red hues and supporting a thin dark tan head of foam. The modest aroma has some roasted malts mixing with earthy malts, a touch of earthy coffee and then faint citrus to floral hops in the background. The taste begins with sweet malts and mildly roasted malts as well as a dash of coffee. Those roasty notes head quickly into a nice mix of pine and citrus hops. It picks up just a thin ribbon of cherry like fruity esters here and there amid some resiny pine hops heading into the finish. This is a little pricy for what you get but still decent enough.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle:   Deep amber, moderate foamy sandy head, nice lacing.   Pithy and bready nose.   Slightly toasted malts, dull caramel, and stale tea leaves as well.   Moderate malty background, light citrus aspects, strong tea leaves.   Seems a little dusty too.   Not too sharp, rather dull actually.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Toasted malt finish, slight biscuit, pale citrus peel, with some tea leaves.   Seems to be a very moderate example of an Imperial Red, either that or its been around for too long.
