Bomber from Beverages 4 Less in Santee, CA. Pours clear dark ruddy copper with a creamy beige head. Aroma is quite pine/citrus over firmly roasted malt. Full bodied. It’s very resin/citrus hoppy. Almost burningly so. The malt is typical "red" roast, and it’s strong enough to stand up to the huge hop bill. This ale screams NW. Brilliant.

22 ounce bottle purchased at Bel-Air in Woodland, CA. The aroma on this is initially hoppy with mostly pine and herbal hops. Some caramel and toffee malt aromas back this up, as well as a little candi sugar. Light roasted coffee barely comes through, too. Transparent garnet-amber body with a medium to large, frothy, strong cream-colored head present. Attractive beer. Starts with a good deal of lightly sweet caramel and toffee malt flavors. Becomes more roasted in the middle with a little burnt malty char. Finishes sharply bitter with a good deal of herbal and more pine hops? Perhaps some Chinook. A big, brash beer, but it seems to work pretty well. Kind of like Arrogant Bastard on steroids. My complaint is that the body seems a little thin on this beer.

Bottle. An amber color with a foamy off-white head. A malty and rye aroma with a fair hop profile. Smooth with a nice finish of chocolate and light pine.
