4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle from Meditrina. Hazy golden orange with lasting head and lace. Tropical melon citrus aroma. LIght tropical fruit and pineapple sweetness with some grassiness and medium citrus bitterness accentuated by lively carbonation in medium full body. Amazing that this is 11.25% and still this crisp and fruity and dry. Totally FUCKING EXCELLENT and I donít even usually like beer this strong.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Poured into a snifter, the appearance was a glossy burnt orange slightly yellow color with a thin white foamy head that dissipated at a nice even pace. Slight messy lacing.
The aroma takes in a nice well balanced sweet to bitter citrusy hoppiness. Sweet onion dankiness slides in underneath.
The flavor takes in all of the previously mentioned aromas to balance spectacularly between the sweet to the bitter. Balanced bitter citrus/onion hoppiness hits nicely against the sweet malts.
On the palate, this one sat about a medium on the body. Fantastic sipping ability helps create a long sweet to bitter balance rolling over my tongue. ABV feels well hidden.
Overall, a well executed DIPA that I would have again.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
From the 650 ml bottle dated 08/13/16. Golden amber heady pour. The aroma is more muted than I expected but there is an emphasis on the floral, citrus, and herbal hop notes. Mild caramel malts under it all. The body is medium or a bit better. The taste has a moderate white sour dough character that is immediately followed by the floral and also slightly spicy hop finish. No booze for over 11%.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottled. Pours slightly hazy deep golden with an average off-white head. Aroma of tropical fruits, cireus, melon and peachy notes. Sweet flavor that ends up being more dry and solid bitter. Medium bodied, oily texture and soft carbonation. An excellent DIPA. 🌟🌟🌟🌟

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
UPDATED: SEP 2, 2016 660ml bottle at home. Cloudy light orange-golden cookout, white foamy head that leaves a nice lacing. Nice spruce, pine, resin, grass, citrus/grapefruit hoppy tones, rich grainy and sweet malty base, quite yeasty, alcohol gives a nice punch: very well balanced. Big body, medium carbonation.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
amber color with clear body. very hoppy and moderate malty. itís triple ipa so the bitterness is really high, and the sweetness is well back up the bitterness.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Draught. Super hoppy beer that smacks you right in the face with hops as soon as you get it anywhere near your nose. Fairly bitter, and doesnít drink like its ABV, which I view as a plus.

4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
Good goddamn. Coming from a state thatís known for making absurdly hoppy beers, Simtra might be the bitterest thing Iíve tasted yet. Hazy amber appearance. Itís basically all hop notes here. Dank, resinous, aggressive, piney, chewy, pungent, astringent. Thereís some glimmers of tropical sweetness but mostly itís redolent of fruit pith. Creamy feel but itís crisp and bright with intense bitterness. As IPAís go this is an extreme example. Anyone short of a hophead and/or masochist will find this to be abrasive, so a relatively small subset will like it, while some seasoned, open-minded tasters will be forced to admire - perhaps begrudgingly - how unrelentingly hop-forward this is.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at Manito. Aroma is onion, grapefruit. Pours mostly clear golden with a collar of big bubbly foam. Taste is oniony, licorice, alcohol. Iím not a big fan of oniony beers, but this isnít as bad as some out there.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
12 oz draft- Pours light hazy orange with a creamy blanket lace. Aroma is mango, nice and hoppy, resinous, banana and lemon. The taste is resin, lemon, medium bitterness that follows through to the end, alcohol is noticeable, wish it was dialed back a bit. Not bad.
