UPDATED: DEC 17, 2012 Phenomenal nose. Great citra hops, grapefruit and floral. Taste is a little light, needs more body. Finish is nice, hops stick around for a good minute.

Bottle:   Pale copper, fiery, light carbonation, large foamy sandy head, nice lacing.   Assertive pithy nose.   Citrusy, but not biting or sweet, at least on the aroma.   Citrusy up front, pithy, some candied citrus peel follows.   Wait a minute, this is 11.25% ABV?   No way!   Very citrusy without being biting or overly pithy.   Slightly candied, and in no way hot.   For an 11.25% ABV Triple IPA (Imperial), this one rocks!   Way too smooth and easy to drink.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate to full.   Starts to get a bit sweeter at the finish.   Nothing about this beer stands out, but its smooth, a bit candyish, has hop flavor without being overly bitter, represents a huge ABV without feeling boozy, and just plain ole rocks!   Gotta thank Ron for getting me this crazy example of a Tripx IPA!

Bottle. Poured clear copper color with an average frothy white head that lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate to heavy citrus and earthy aroma. Medium to full body with a slick texture and lively carbonation. Moderate to heavy complex bitter flavor with a moderate to heavy complex bitter finish of medium to long duration. This is a standout beer.

Piney hop aroma, some floral, tangerine. Pours a slightly cloudy orange with thin white head. High pine hop bitterness. Some alcohol finish, but not as obvious as expected at over 11%.. Enjoyable.

22 ounce bottle. Served in a snifter, the beer pours a clear orange/amber color with about an inch off-white head. The head sticks around for a while, and thereís a good amount of lacing. Aroma is good and hoppy, it smells mostly like citrusy (pineapple, mango, grapefruit, lemon peel) and pine hops, along with some caramel and bready malt. Taste is pretty much just like the aroma, full of citrusy (grapefruit, tropical fruit) and piney hops, with caramel and bready malt also noticeable. The piney bitterness really comes out in the flavor, and itís not boozy, at least not as much as I was expecting an 11.25% ABV brew to be. Mouthfeel/body is medium, itís slick and a bit sticky with moderate carbonation. I think itís a good brew, and Iíd pick this one up again at $8.99 a bomber.
