Bottle from Nugget. Excellent double IPA. Burts with citrus, fruity hops. Bitter, but doesnt linger. I will be searching this out.

Crystal clear orangey pour white head that quickly dissipates with a touch of lacing.
Aroma is absolutely massive hops. Mostly tropical guava kiwi peach. I have a bags of citra and simcor hops around and you can barely tell the difference in aroma.
Flavor is quite interesting. Much sweeter than expected initially with a touch of alcohol heat. The hop flavor and bitterness builds on the palate. The flavor seems heavy on the citra notes. A bit of pineapple as well. A little extra alcoholic heat at the end, maybe a bit much. A little sweetness lingers to balance it. Really nice.
4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 BOLTZ7555 (2378) - Phoenix, Arizona, USA - JUL 6, 2012
Wasn’t expecting to love this but it did have Triple IPA on the label and clocked in at 10%. Seemed like my kind of beer! Wasn’t disappointed. Glowing 14 karat pour with dancing slivers of platinum, brass, and copper finding their way into the glass. Nice layer of foam floats above. Loads of grapefruit, tangerine pith, orange peel, lemon zest and evergreen. The bright citrus is explosive and there is just enough subtle honey to balance. Get some alcohol but not at all distracting. Delicious!
3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Ibrew2or3 (5761) - Tempe, Arizona, USA - JUL 5, 2012
22oz bomber pours clear copper with tan head. The aroma has a good load of bitter hops that are vaguely spicy, pine and earthy citrus with a light background of biscuit malts. The taste is pleasingly hoppy with both flavor and bitter hops creating a sweet orange hard candy sensation along side of resiny pine bitterness. To midway the bitterness really ramps up and into the finish it gives way to hints of biscuit malts and caramel malts. Nice full hoppy rich brew.
4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 timfoolery (883) - California, USA - JUL 3, 2012
Bottle from DBS. Aroma and flavor of fresh, citrus and floral hops. Not often does an IPA catch my good side. This one was absolutely excellent with a solid malt backbone, not the likes of which detracted from the hops. Like DYC, I have to liken this one to Pliny. Honestly, it's heartier and will last much longer than Pliny the Elder or Younger. I still give a nod to the Younger, but not by much. This beer puts Knee Deep on the map and is indeed world-class.

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20 Matts_Property (831) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUL 3, 2012
Bottle. Pours clear golden amber, with virtually no head. Aroma of tropical fruits, pineapple, mango, resin, make me picture tree sap. Flavour is the same, but more bitter than the nose suggests. The ABV is well hidden in this balanced, full bodied 3IPA. Oily yet silky mouth feel, dry finish. Hits the spot quite nicely! Yum!
4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 mcberko (4054) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUL 3, 2012
22 oz. bottle, pours a clear golden / copper with a tiny, quickly-dissipating white head. Aroma exudes loads of resinous hops, moderate tropical fruit character (mango and pineapple), and a generous portion of caramel malt - slight candied sugar component too though not dominant. Flavour has truckloads of resinous hops, not much of the tropical fruits, a perfect amount of sweetness, and just enough backing of caramel malt. Extremely hoppy and quite bitter, though never too puckering on the palate. Certainly a superior example of how you do a Imperial IPA - brilliantly balanced while still being very hoppy but not too annoyingly astringent. Most excellent and highly drinkable.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 StefanSD (1796) - Lakeside, California, USA - JUL 3, 2012
650 ml bottle from Bev4less. Pours a translucent copper color with a small white head that recedes to a film. The aroma features citrus and mangoes. The taste is oranges(dominate), with mangoes, grapefruit and lemons playing a supporting role. I also get a bit of onion as an off flavor. The palate is silky smooth with lively carbonation. The finish is medium in duration with lingering tangerines. Overall: Very nice brew, but it just didn’t wow me.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 yourefragile (105) - Washington, Washington DC, USA - JUL 1, 2012
22 oz bottle from Blackwells.
Pours a clear pale golden copper with a thin foamy cream colored head that fades to a thin collar and thin streaks of lace. Intense fresh hop aroma, sweet and solventy dominated by pine and Simcoe hops, tropical fruit, caramel and burnt sugar. Medium thick, soft body with light carbonation, fairly sticky and pulpy on the palate with a strong warming alcohol finish. Flavor is sweet and fruity, tons of Simcoe and light Citra resin in the finish. Bitter, boozy, hoppy and fruity; not a bad triple IPA.

Poured from the 22oz. Aroma is spicey from the simcoe, flavour is similar. Palate is thick and oily the way a triple ipa should be. This is a great ipa, I’ve been craving for a while.
