Simtra Triple IPA delivers a punch in the face with its very danky hop aroma derived from Simcoe and Citra hops. You wanted more hops you got them.

Jeez what a superb brew - Simcoe on steroids - massive hop impact - well balanced but unobtrusive malt - alcohol invisible until it hit my speech centre but luckily I shared the bottle otherwise all motor function would have malfunctioned.

The best thing about this beer is the aroma of the hops when you first crack open the bottle. Reminds of brewing your own beer and the smells of that process! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from Mill Valley Whole Foods. Pours with a light head and light copper colour. Lots of pine, lemon and tangerine. Super boozy, especially in the aftertaste, and medium sweet. 4 months old, would have liked to try one more fresh.

very interesting aroma, some pineapple, resin, tangerine, malty presence as cracker, some green bitterness. The flavour is less sweet than the aroma. A lot of tangerine, a lot of pine nidlees, but after a dry finish there is a lot of alcohol in the aftertaste. Lovely mouthfeel, smooth beer but not so fresh as it should be. Tropical notes in return, this isn’t so fresh but neither so old, five months old, is too much for an ipa, for sure, but maybe even fresh the alcool is too present.

An excellent triple IPA. A hop heads heaven. Great nose but still an excellent balance of flavors. Mouth feel is top notch.

Bottle from Biernavigatie, dated 11/23/15, large sample. Clear golden color, short frothy head. Aroma of piney hops, bit grassy, slight caramel, malty. Medium bitterness, malty sweetness, pine, some alcohol. Finishes quite dry with bitter and alcohol. Too alcoholic at the moment. Maybe fresher the hops can hold up to the alcoholic power, but now its a bit too much. Not bad though, as it is a big sipper now.

July 26, 2015. On tap at The Ginger Man - NYC.
Hazy orange with a small white head. Aroma is fruity with fresh ripe mango and pawpaw, some dried apricots, some toffee, herbs, grass, and citrus. Taste is sweet fruity, both fresh and dried fruits, some malty biscuit notes, light to medium bitterness with a soft bitter finish. Medium bodied, oily texture, soft carbonation.
Very drinkable, the alcohol isn’t noticeable at all.
