Simtra Triple IPA delivers a punch in the face with its very danky hop aroma derived from Simcoe and Citra hops. You wanted more hops you got them.

Got to try this thanks to a friend Dave, who bought it from Beverages4Less! Damn, this could be the largest assault on my palate Iíve ever had and for all the right reasons!!! Aroma is intense fruit and dank all the way. The cattiness comes through strong with a hint of citrus still coming through thanks to the Citra hops. Appearance is pale a fairly clear. Taste is immense and dry. This is a hophead dream! All hops with just the right amount of malt to keep the drinkability (yes I said drinkability) present. Overall, I would drink this whenever I could, a true treat well worth looking for! Thanks again to my friend Dave and Beverages4Less.

Slightly hazy orange pour that throws up a fleeting washy white head. Floral hop aroma, some pine. Assertive bitter hop flavor, resiny but balanced. Some alcohol comes through. This wanders quite close to Barleywine territory.

22 oz, pours an inviting orange with small head, smells of beautiful resinous grassy, cat piss, fruity melon. Tastes of toffee, carmel, strawberries and pure hoppy deliciousness. Balanced extravagantly well.

Bomber from Andersons in Sylvania. Clear orange pour with a thin bright white and lots of sudsy stick. Aroma is bread, grass and grapefruit. Tastes are earthy, herbal, biscuit, lemon, orange, pepper, vegetal. Alcohol is noticeable (hard not to be), but comes together well enough. Tough rate - enjoyed it, but not sure Iíd have to get it again.

Bottle. Pours hazy amber with little head. Might have been a little too cold... Aroma is spicey citrus. Smells of more malt than it tastes. Hops are pronounced. Starts spicey. Hints of citrus fruit. Not much sweetness or malt to it. Finishes floral, bitter. Mouthfeel is smooth, with a resinous mouth coating. Alcohol not detected at all. Hop mixture is intersting and tastey though could have used some balance. A bit too much favor to the bitter side. Good but not in the class of the great TIPA/IIPAs out there.

Bottle. Pours a deep golden with a fluffy white head. Aroma is sweet and citric. a bit tropical, a touch oxidized as well but I wont hold it against them, not sure when it was bottled but I can tell its a nice aroma of citric fruit and simcoe. Flavor has a burst of tropical and citric character stay throughout with a slight piney bitterness with a touch of dank. Medium body and a crisp carbonation.

22 oz bottle, gift from Brandon C., from Ale, Wine, and Spirits, Columbus. Unbelievably strong aroma, just amazing; I could smell this as I poured it 2 feet away from my face; one of the extremely few beers where I was stricken by the aroma before the appearance. Pours an ever-so-slightly hazy, copper-ish amber with a smaller white, pillowy head; dissipates into a thin covering that is easily brought back with swirling. Aroma--BAM--insanely massive grapefruit, overwhelmingly citrusy and floral. Flavor really is quite bitter but falls short of offensively so. Feels creamy and almost oily; lower side of silky carbonation. Itís a little bit opposite-of-sobering that this bottle contains more alcohol than 6 oz of mass market vodka (!).

Bottled. Pours a clear deep golden color with a quickly dissipating white foam. The hop varieties lend an interesting aroma with notes of orange and grapefruit citrus with biscuit, pine and rumcake. Delicious flavor slammed with bitterness and a strong malt backbone. Pine resin and pepper all over. Really good but the alcohol comes in and wrecks the palate. Takes away the clean finish that only a very few know how to perfect in the West Coast i.e. California style (see Alpine, RR etc). Overall really tasty. Youll feel this one in the head fo sho.
