22. Thanks c! Pours a clear medium gold with light lace. Bright fruity nose. Creamy medium body with lively carb. Hides the alcohol well. Mango, orange, and grapefruit, all unified into one coherent flavor note. Verrrry dry finish. Nice.

4.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
Bottle, labeled 11.25% ABV. Pours a clear light amber. Aromas of citrus, some pine. While the aroma is not outstanding, when you put this liquid in your mouth there is simply oohing that compares to it. It is amazing. Slightly sweet with a great hoppy expression of juicy citrus fruits. Very, very nice. Finishes on a bitter note but without the brash, abrasive harshness that usually accompanies hop bombs. This is top notch, by any measure. Bravo.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
2013-09-01. Crisp dark yellow body nice foamy white head. 3++ Aroma is quite hoppy with muddled fruity hops and light alcohol alcohol. Lightly resiny/musky quality to the hops. Flavour is fairly bitter, light tropical fruit character, moderate alcohol throughout. Warming in the throat. Average plus not quite medium bodied palate, modest carbonation. Interesting, decent and mostly enjoyable but I am not quite sure if I want more. Bottle from San Diego shared by a friend.

Bomber Bottle share. Aroma is a really good hop smell. Appearance is bronze with lots-0-head. Taste is super hoppy, but good. Palate is hoppy. Overall, good for being as hoppy as I thought it would be.

UPDATED: AUG 27, 2013 Bottle in Santa Barbara.
Dusky orange pour, heavy lacing. Huge nose of leafy green hop juice with pineapple and tangerine. Pretty strong hop blast in the flavor, melding with alcohol burn late. Initially tasty, even if a bit like chewing on hop pellets -- but I can’t see myself drinking a whole bomber of this stuff. A small glass is enough. Maybe I need to admit that there is such a thing as too-hoppy beer.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Yellow-orange pour with a white head. The aroma is very hoppy with some resinous pine notes as well as some orange and pineapple. The flavor is also quite hoppy. I get a lot of pineapple and resin notes, as well as some sweet candy notes, biscuit malt and low bitterness. Fairly sweet for a Double IPA. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

IIIPAs are the new black.... Pours golend straw with nice lasting head. Aroma is grapefruit rind, mandarin orange, grass, and a little onion. Taste is more of the same with nice bitterness balanced by alcohol sweetness. Very sharp citrus flavors and a tinge of that onion scallion that I sometimes get from citra.
