COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Simtra Triple IPA delivers a punch in the face with its very danky hop aroma derived from Simcoe and Citra hops. You wanted more hops you got them.

Borefts warm up -bottle in the Hotel. Clear gold - amber beer. Good white head. Palate is light, minerally fresh and a little dry. Massive Citra hops! Hurrah! Somewhat skunky but with a big big orange and tangerine full on fruity freshness. Finish is semi dry with a little aniseed alcohol noticeable but this is a very drinkable beast of an IPA. Lovely!

Orange with a large white head. Aroma is candied sweet malts, grapefruit, tropical citrus fruit, orange. Medium to full mouth. Flavor had plenty of fresh, tropical citrus notes, candied malt, grapefruit, and light lemon. Powerful and full of citrus hops. What a tasty way to celebrate the election.

Bottle I brought to Frank’s Oct 2012. Pours a deep amber body with white lacing. Aroma is bitter citrus, citric hops, bread and caramel malts. Smells a bit stale, but still decent hop aroma present. Mouthfeel is medium with notes of sweet citrus fruits, citric hops, light pine and lots of sweet, bready malts. I need a fresh bottle of this.

Bottle from Chuck's: new brewery to NE OH. Pours clear amber, wispy off white head that fades to a thin haze and dense ring. Pine resin, mango, herbal spice notes with some crystal and caramel malt presence on the nose. As this warms, resinous hop bitterness, some grassy and herbal nuances with this hop profile. caramel and crystal malt sugars in the middle of the flavor profile, followed by a not over the top spicy bitter hop bitterness. For a triple IPA, this grew on me as the palate holds up and mellows and increases drink ability for such a big ABV beer. It's no Pliny or Dreadnaught, but damn good ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

One of the best beers I’ve ever had. The addition of Simcoe hops made this beer pop in your mouth, and the hoppiness never died down. If you’re looking for an explosion of non-stop hoppiness, this is THE beer for you.

Dirty brown pour with an off white head. Great fruit forward hop aroma, reminds me of hop slam. A bit too malty in the flavor though, just too dark for a IIPAfor me. Bitter finish, plenty of c02.

May just be better than Pliny the younger. I have only had younger on tap so it would be hard to determine which is better since Simtra came from the bottle

Bottle from James, glowing orange pour. Aromas and taste were very malty, bready, and boozey. Sweet malts, citrus, resinous pine. Bitter finish. This one was def past its prime but you can tell it would be amazing when fresh,

Pours golden or copper with a fizzy diminishing head and some lacing. Aroma is strong, fragrant, with floral and citrus notes. Flavor is strong, hoppy, floral and citrusy; grapefruit with a little sweetness at the end. Crisp, but creamy at the end, with a long aftertaste at the back of the throat. A lot to take but really good. (10/18/12 Total Wine IPA tasting class w/brother-in-law Tony.)
