4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Great brew.....had it shipped from Bev4Less. I like that these 6 bottles were fresh (12/23/2013). While I certainly enjoyed this beer, I have to admit I was a bit underwhelmed. I read previous reviewers mentioning it on par with Pliny so I was expecting big things. Nose was terrific....big on the hops....loved it. The flavor was good, but the tropical fruit aspect (for me) was just too much....and as I progressed through the bottle it really wore on me. I really love big over the top IPAs like this so I definitely enjoyed the overall experience. Not sure I’d pay the extra bucks to have this one shipped to FL again.

4.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Poured out of a bomber into a snifter. Smells like grassy hops, caramel and some alcohol. A beautiful glowing amber, burnt orange with a half inch bright white head. Absolutely sticky, clings on to the glass as you drink it. Chewy sticky beer that tastes like carmel, piney, grassy hops, just a tiny bit of lemon too. Ends with a good alcohol burn, not as much as some of the big Stone IPAs, but its a flavorful alcohol note, almost tastes like whisky and little oak. Overall a stellar stellar big IPA. This beast is 11.5% and features two of my favorite hops. The bottom line is if you can get this, drink it. It’s a fine substitution for the 11 months that you can’t get Pliney the Younger.

4.8 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
Honestly one of the best, "big" IPAs you'll find out there. Very crisp with tons of citrus to wake you up. This is one that you really must drink within the first couple of weeks of bottling otherwise you'll get an entirely different, much less enjoyable, beer.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bomber to snifter (shared with the Mrs.; thanks JohnnyJ). Looks good; a deep (albeit nice and transparent) orange, but it’s a triple, so what the hey. Smells of HUGE hops AND pale malt. Tastes like it smells with a nice, smooth mouthfeel. Good stuff.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
bomber into a rocks glass
caramel amber color, sticky white collar. good lacing.
Big pungent citrus nose with some sweetness in the background.
Big caramel backbone with a lot of pungent citrus in the taste. Very pungent, very dank. Bitter and dirty orange, pine, grapefruit.
Very oily, big feel with some prickly carbonation to smooth it out. Big acid finish. ABV kicks in the the end.
Prickly carbonation really helps this out. If you like dank IIIPA’s this is a winner.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Pours light, no head. Pungent nose. Strong citrus flavor. The high ABV somewhat screws this brew up, just too boozy. Otherwise a solid IIIPA.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Slightly darker amber colored, moderate head, decent lace/retention. Aroma is grapefruit, pine, citrus, slightly tropical, some caramel, alcohol. Fairly full bodied, moderate bitterness, somewhat alcoholic. It’s pretty tasty but it’s not the perfect hop bomb either.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
22oz bottle from Cask n’Flask, San Jose- bottled 27/09/13, drank right now. Sober. Deep copper-amber with an undulating white foam. Nose of bright floral peach, strawberry chew, blackcurrant and pine; stewed tea and lychee hop slathered in honey sweetness and peppery booze. Hot front with orange liqueur and honey, medicinal (throat sweet) honey and lemon bitterness, dragonfruit and red apple undercurrents losing the battle to the alcohol. Good multi-coloured hop-scented belches- too little too late. Coming to the conclusion I don’t much care for high ABV hop monsters where the nuances, aromatics and pungency of the hops get sledgehammered by sweetness and heat.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Clear copper with a fluffy white head. Aroma is caramel malt and piney hops. Taste is shockingly malt forward. Tons of caramel malt. Extremely bitter with notes of pine and citrus. Significant alcohol heat. Thick syrupy mouthfeel with light carbonation. Great balance but still intense.
