4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
A finger of head on a clear, deep amber colored body.
The aroma is a wonderful lemon, grapefruit and bold pine; like you’re crushing the hops in your fingers.
The taste has a great big lemon bitterness that is perfectly balanced by the bold malt sweetness. Lots of pine too.
Great smooth texture with moderate carbonation.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle from Bine & Vine. Pours a deep, clear gold with a sticky white head. Nose is citrusy and resiny with a sharp ethanol note as well. Huge and boozy nose. Some butterscotch. On tasting, more of the same. Boozy and hot, warming. Big bitterness and citrus on finish. butterscotch. Wow, a huge let down.

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 17/20
Thanks to Texas Wine and Spirit(Carlsbad, CA) for the recommensation...
Pours a nice clear dark orange. Aroma is pure hops... tropical, citrus and resin hops. Very clean. Initial sip is all hop as well, but there’s a very nice balance to this beer, even without really tasting or smelling the malt. Its an extremely high abv IPA(11%+) but there’s absolutely no alcohol flavor -- just a very subtle warming of the throat and stomach. Had to knock down the palate score as I drank this beer, because it sticks to the mouth/tongue way too much for me... overall though this is an outstanding beer.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
22 oz bottle shared by ???. Thanks. Pours a richly glowing amber orange hue, just a kiss of haze, frothy offwhite head sits atop and dies to a filmy layer, laces small. Aromas are a bit fruity, citrusy and tropical with some intermittent garlic and onion. A bit funky, some grass and florals, gentle sweeter grainy malts. Initial is medium bodied, a firm base with some good flavors. Richer citrus hops, tropical fruit, gentle gumball type flavors mix with some onion, garlic, and earth. Gentle bready and a touch sweeter malt body. The onion element interferes a bit, dry and bitter, with that distinct sharpness. Backend is dry and bitter, pretty solid. Albeit, there is something off here. Meh.

Deep golden color, very slight haze, nice head and lacing, wonderful aroma and huge hops. Plenty of character through the whole drink. Just great.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bomber. Pours a slightly cloudy pale orange color with a perfect 1 cm head that fades slowly. Musty aroma of dank hops, tropical fruit, pineapple, grapefruit, pine, and flowers. Love the aroma. Taste is really good too. I mainly taste tropical fruit and grapefruit. Great malt backbone. Finish is much dryer than I like it my IPA’s though. That’s the only thing I don’t enjoy about this beer. Alcohol not detectable at all. Another high quality West Coast IPA. I want more.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bomber from McGee. Hazy, orange-gold pour with a short white head leaving moderate lace. Nose is pine, tropical fruit and weed, with a touch of EtOH heat and sweet malt. Medium-heavy body and moderate carbonation. Pine resin, caramel, ganja and grapefruit. Finish is nicely balanced and ending rather bitter and earthy. A big beer, and it shows in spots, but I would absolutely drink this one again.

3.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
22 ounce bottle
I am not sure why but this release did not resonate with me at all. It was a fair deal - enough that I am willing to try more of their lineup - but not remarkable. Given the choice I would gone with a four pack of Headhunter instead. Still, maybe it was a bad bottle which means eventually I will need to revisit it.
Aroma / Appearance - The coppery transparent base bubbles and sparkles. An icy white head looks like a fresh dusting of overnight snow. Pine cones, mangoes, grapefruit, and other flavors are sharp. Even so I somehow found it hard to get excited. It wasn’t off but I can’t put my finger on the reason.
Flavor / Palate - Mangoes and pine trees warm the throat immediately. A dry bitterness is harsh on the palate. For $6.99 this is a full bodied and robust beer from a brewery that wasn’t on my radar until now. Maybe this summer when it is too hot for the stouts I’ll get some more of their releases.
