Simtra Triple IPA delivers a punch in the face with its very danky hop aroma derived from Simcoe and Citra hops. You wanted more hops you got them.

Borefts warm up -bottle in the Hotel. Clear gold - amber beer. Good white head. Palate is light, minerally fresh and a little dry. Massive Citra hops! Hurrah! Somewhat skunky but with a big big orange and tangerine full on fruity freshness. Finish is semi dry with a little aniseed alcohol noticeable but this is a very drinkable beast of an IPA. Lovely!

UPDATED: JUL 2, 2012 Tap at Sacramento Brewers Showcase. Pours dark brassy gold with a creamy white head. Aroma is sort of cactus/citrus. Med+ body. Flavor is earthy/hottish spice(not pepper tho)/citrus. Malt supports but it’s hard to taste it. Brilliant ale. Months later - a bomber from The Davis Beer Shoppe. Excellent dry hopping. very cat pee. Gotta elevate the aroma number. Gotta elevate the overall number too. It’s really good.

UPDATED: MAR 14, 2013 Bottle at Bruce’s, London to celebrate Jorge Mario Bergoglio of Argentina and his election as Pope Francis. Big thanks to Bruce for this one! Pours clear gold with a fine, creamy white head. Alcohol-soaked citrus fruits in the nose, orange, some light bread. Medium to big sweet flavor, moderate bitterness, some juicy pine, bit of boozy sting. Full bodied with fine to average carbonation. Warm, fairly boozy finish, moderate resins, orange and tangerine, a touch medicinal. Really, it’s a bit boozy overall.

Pours a nice amber color with a white head. Really dank simcoe aroma to this. Heavy on the grapefruit and pineapple notes, a strong pine note, some woody, almost herbal notes and a light sweetness. A mild caramel sweetness along with an intense fruity flavor and sweetness. Very nice pineapple, some peach, and a bit of tangerine. A bit of grapefruit, light pine, and a mild bitterness.
