Draft at Graydons - pours a dark brown with thin tan head. Vanilla marshmallow aroma . Tastes like the marshmallow cereal pieces . Not bad but one dimensional . ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

22 ounce bottle into pint glass, bottled on 10/15/2014. Pours crystal clear very dark brown color with a 2 finger dense tan head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big vanilla, caramel, toffee, milk chocolate, creamed coffee, toast, and light herbal. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of dark/roasted malt and vanilla notes; with good strength. Taste of vanilla, caramel, toffee, milk chocolate, creamed coffee, toast, and light herbal. Slight herbal/roast bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of vanilla, caramel, toffee, milk chocolate, creamed coffee, toast, and light herbal on the finish for a good bit. Good complexity and solid robustness of dark/roasted malt and vanilla flavors; with a great malt/vanilla balance and minimal cloying sweetness after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth and fairly creamy mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very good vanilla porter. All around good complexity and solid robustness of dark/roasted malt and vanilla flavors; and very smooth to drink. A nicely enjoyable offering.

22 oz. bottle purchased at Dave’s Bellport Cold Beer and Soda. Pours a very dark brown, not quite black, with a moderate tan head that lasted through the first quarter of the glass and left light lace. Very pleasant aroma that is filled with vanilla along with chocolate, coffee, and mild roast. The flavor is very similar with ample vanilla with chocolate, coffee, and mild roast. Mild bitterness at the finish. Medium bodied, perhaps leaning just a bit on the lighter side of that. Enjoyable.

Bottle from Champanes, this beer poured a very dark brown and gave a nice, creamy, one to two finger light tan colored head, it left lots of spots and fingers of lacing on the glass, the aromas were toasted and some roasted malt, caramel, a little chocolate and coffee, brown sugar and vanilla sweetness, it had flavors of roasted and toasted malt, caramel, coffee and a little chocolate and brown sugar with vanilla that was weaker than what I noticed on the nose, the mouth feel was light medium and creamy, and it had average carbonation, the vanilla gave more sweetness on the nose than in the mouth, and the vanilla rounded off the malt bitterness and gave a smooth touch to drinking this beer, this was a nice drink.

22oz bottle - This is an absolute steal at $6.00 a bomber. This beer is chock-full of vanilla in both the aroma and flavor with a fair amount of residual sweetness left to help the vanilla flavor really deliver. Sweet, marshmallowy vanilla, light roast and a good showing of cocoa. Reminded me of a sugar coffee at Starbuck’s in some ways. I personally enjoy my porters and stouts to be sweet, so this was fine for me. A solid beer.

Bottle poured a dark brown in color with a thin layer of mocha head. Aroma has chocolate, rich brown malts, and very faint vanilla. Mouth feel is medium with low side carbonation. Flavor has a malted core, mild bitterness, vanilla extract, chocolate, and some burnt bits into the finish.
