bottled, at the christmas beer markets in prague. quite pale, lingering white head, aroma of banana and vanilla, lightly citric with a pleasantly salty finish

Hazy matt medium grey - amber orange colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly to fully lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is light malty, wheat, moderate yeasty, fruity, banana. Flavour is moderate sweet and light moderate bitter with a long duration, yeasty, banana, crispy hops. Body is medium, texture is watery - creamy, carbonation is soft. [20120404]

Bottle@Home. Nice sweet banana. Cloudy, amber, small off-white head, fair lace. Sweet, light bitter, strong banana flavour. Medium body, sparkling.

En fût. Pinte dégustée directement à la brasserie. Arôme: Légère odeur de blé. Apparence: La couleur est ambrée voilée. Présence d’un mince col mousseux et d’une fine dentelle sur le verre. Saveur: Léger goût de banane avec une pointe de blé et d’épices. Durée moyenne de l’arrière goût. Palette: Le corps est moyen avec une texture légèrement onctueuse. Moyenne effervescence en bouche. My Bottom Line :
Banana esters and portly bready wheat flavors compete for attention until clovey phenols are brought in by the prickly bubbles.

Further Personal Perceptions :
-A veil of foam quickly disappears into the murky brown... This is one ugly Weizen.
-This is not infected, but it is unrefined, to say the least.
-The mouthfeel is not nearly as comfortable as a Weizen should be. The small, fierce bubbling does not fit with the lax wheaty sugars.
-Some caramel flavors roam within.

Recht hefiger Antrunk mit deutlicher Herbe, die nicht mehr weicht. Feinhefig mit angenehmer Bananennote, nicht aufdringlich. Nun herber, das Bier orientiert sich nun sogar an der Herbe. Spritzig, wenig säuerlich. Gut abgepasst! 11/10/11/11//10

Bottle @ Bamberg. Pours clear dark golden with a stable creamy white head and lacings. Nose is yeast, wheat, spice and banana. Flavor is spices, wheat and banana. Fine balance. Lively carbonation.

50 cL bottle, bottled as Hösl Weissbier Resi but specifically sold as Knoblach Schammelsdorfer Weißbier. Pours cloudy orange with a huge white head. Aroma is dry and estery. Sweet and banana fruity with a light malty note. Citric and sweet flavoured into the finish with a light citric note. Wheaty and citric finish.

Bottle, 5.5%. Gusher. Mild banana aroma. Hazy yellow colour. Big stable white head. Good banana flavour, quite citric. A bit of lemon. OK sweetness to balance. High carbonation, but soft enough.

Bottled. Deep hazy orangeish-amber colour with mediumsized beigeish foamy head. Aroma is banana, some wheat, yeast and mild herbal notes. Flavour is being quite much the same except for the bananaish notes, which are very mild. Resfreshing, but nothing that special in the world of wheat beers.

Brown-tan colour with dense haze. Quite wheaty with apple acidity, hints of banana and accent of farmhouse rusticity. Decent weizen.
