Home - Bottle, happy as a pig in poke. Yes there are better beers, but this just such a nice little number from a nice wee brewery. Coffee and chocolate not at all bitter....at first, then a subtle kick, lingered on the palate for a while which is good. Deffo drinking now.

Cask at Pig’s Ear, near black with a lasting taupe head, fruity ashy nose with herby hoppiness, full bodied and bitter-sweet, with liquorice, black treacle and hints of citrus. Ashy dry finish with more liquorice and a herby bitterness. Excellent.

Cask at The Stockbridge Tap. Black body with ruby highlights. Thin beige cap that gradually fades. Nice lacing. Aroma of plum, ash and peppery biscuit. Flavour of treacle and plum. Bitter, burnt finish. Medium body with a sticky mouthfeel. A rich, flavoursome beer. Lovely stuff.

Bottle share thanks to Homer321. Big, dark roasty aroma with some light dark chocolate character. Deep dark brown, mostly black, small tan head. Roasty, coffee, dark chocolate notes. Thinnish/watery mouthfeel as expected for Porter. roastiness is smooth, light semi sweet character.

Despite a sharp bitter after-note and weak aftertaste, the chocolate influences in the aroma and flavor save this beer. I don’t think black cork will be around forever - worth a try

Bottle at home from alesela
basically a black ipa. Pours hazy dark brown with frothy beige head. Cocoa with orange and pine on nose. Full bodied with moderate carbonation, dry cocoa and pine with rich warming robust malt and orange peel finish. Decent
