COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A beer true to the traditional style of IPA but with some contemporary elements. The beer is 5% abv which enables it to be enjoyed by the pint as well as in bottle.
The malt used is Maris Otter Pale Ale Malt, ideally suited for this style of beer.
The star of the show in an IPA should be the hops. Our IPA has a bitterness of 40 IBU which provides an invigorating bitterness hit and a refreshing aftertaste.
The hops used are New World hops which in general provide a more intense flavour and aroma than their European counterparts. The hops are added in three stages. The first addition is for bitterness and is added at the start of the boil, the second is for flavour and is added 5 minutes from the end of the boil and the third is added once the boil has finished and provides the hop aroma without the mouth drying effect of dry-hopping.

Bottled. Fine malty body, on the sweet side. Rather thin. Nothing to make this stand out.

Bottle at home from alesela
hazy mid golden blonde with herbal aroma. Medium body and carbonation but fairly malt led and thus missing a hoppiness that is required in this style. A decent golden/ apa but not an IPA

Bottle 330 ml at home, thanks goes to Lonick! Poured into a tulip glass, ABV 5% Golden yellow colour on the body, with a small and thin white head on top, average retention, light lacing on the glass. Body is crystal clear. Aroma is light hoppy, has grass, light citrus. Taste is nice and light hoppy, grass, malts, mildly bitter with the bitterness going all the way to the aftertaste and with good duration there too. Thin body, good carbonation and good dryness on the palate. Overall not bad at all, goes down smoothly and very quickly.

Cask at the Guildford. Pale gold pour, thin white head. Light lemon and dusty malt aromas. Taste reminds of a stronger Deuchars. Ok.

500ml bottle. Gold amber colour, foam white head leaving some lacing, and aroma of caramel & light citrus. Taste is crystal malt, caramel, alittle earthy & biscuity, with some citrus bitterness. Watery mouthfeel, light bodied, medium carbonation, dry light bitter finish. OK.

Bright clear amber beer, tidy off white head. Palate is light and crisp. Clean malt with a trace of unsweet toffee. Light tangy fruits in the mid. Very slight bitterness in the semi dry finish. A passable beer but for an IPA - lame and almost hop free!

Yellow pour with creamy white head and lace. Aroma of light malt and no hops. Light sweet malt with a medium resiny hop bitter. Light/medium body and fizzy.

Cask (SRAF 2013) - Golden in colour. Lemon, pine and tea in the aroma. Hoppy and bitter taste with notes of grapefruit, lemon, tea and a hint of honey.

Bottle from Oddbins London Bridge drunk at home. Clear orange gold colour lasting beige head. Toffee on aroma. Eeek is it supposed to taste like this? A bit musty. Vague hop on end. Musty finish. Bad bottling? Or just a not very nice beer? Drain pour to be honest.

This makes a pleasant session beer which leaves me wanting more. Which is a pleasant change. Its not heavily hopped but has a nice grapefruity edge to it but not long lasting.

Bottle. A nondescript beer that delivered very little of the hops promised by the brewer. An easy drinker that is pretty cheap.
