COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A delightful Scottish beer inspired by a brewing book from 1847 where there is a story about a beer that is clear and very brisk, and, consequently, very agreeable to the palate. Our modern interpretation of this beer uses four different malts (Pale Ale, Crystal, Chocolate and Roast Barley). Hops are added in small quantities in two stages to ensure that the malt character typical of Scottish ales is not overwhelmed.

Reddish dark brown color with a thin light beige head. Malty nose with some burnt sugar notes. Lots of malt with some smoke and burnt sugar sweetness. It seems a little thin in the body. Sweet, a little astringent, and not very interesting.

A good brown ale, full bodied, strong cocoa and roasted malt flavour. Has some caramel sweetness. Chocolate and nutty aroma. Dark brown colour with slightly orange head. One of the better brown ales.
