Deep amber brew which has a rich, spicy, very malty and flavoursome character. Maybe it’s a touch sweet in the middle section, but it has more dryness and fruit in the finish which makes it end well. A complex and interesting beer. Lilith (242), Santiago, Chile

Aroma of peppery apples and toffee. The soft malt holds lots of caramelly flavour, but the body is light for a beer this size. A low hop rate allows for fiery alcohol, sherry wood whiskey and salty sea breeze to come through. Low bitterness. My first, but certainly not last contact with the interesting type of barley wines being brewed in Argentina. Fukito (604), Buenos Aires, Argentina

Supposedly brewed for the Territorio Bar. The beer presents an orangey-red color and a thin white head. Aroma is fruity, phenolic and slightly citric. Taste is fruity, slightly alcoholic, caramelly. Nice. Mouthfeel is medium to thick, really light for a 12% beer!
