2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Slightly hazy golden body, medium to small head. Aroma has some sweet apples and grainy malt. Hoppiness is medium to low, Saaz is not instantly recognisable. Sweet and grainy taste with medium to low levels of not-so-crisp Saaz. A bit homebrewy and not so clean. Cheaper than average local "craft" beers (2 EUR) but when a large bottle of Pilsner Urquell is still cheaper than that (and way better) then I’m afraid I’m not going to repeat it even at this price.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 10/20
0.33L bottle, batch 15/05. Mute hop aroma. Clear golden color, almost no head. Mouldy, celler, malt, corn flavours. Overwrought stale malt. 1872 does matter anything if you brewer born 1950’s and more. Mouldy wood taste is not so pleasant. Watery woody finish. Quite shit sticky, sugary mouthfeel.

2.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottled version of Koch’s pilsner. Clear golden color, light bodied and well carbonated. True lager flavor with mild sweetness, grassy hops and all together meets the style very well. Absolutely what I expected it to be. Drinkable pilsner.

2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Tap at the brewpub (€ 2,90 for 50 cl), Sept 2014. Looks a slightly hazy golden with a decent white head that leaves thin layer. Nose is grassy malts (complemented by very loud, terrible pop-country music from the speakers), plasticky and doughy. Taste is also grassy and malty, with herbal, earhy, plasticky bitterness. Quite soft on the palate with some graininess, and a fizzy carbonation. Grassy, dry finish. Having trouble a) finishing the 50 cl, and b) deciding which is worse: the music or the beer.
