Draught at Kochi Aidad (€ 2,90 for 50 cl) in Tallinn harbour, June 2014. Nice straw colour; small but well retaining white head. Modest aroma of wheat, clove, digestive biscuits. More astringent - lemony - as it warms. There also seems to be a tiny but annoying soapy or chemical effect to it. Wheaty, slightly citrusy taste with a hint of unripe bananas. Medium body, dry mouthfeel, modest but crisp carbonation. A kind of disturbingly astringent and bitterish aftertaste. Overall a rather nice one despite a couple of flaws.

Draught @ the brewpub
Aroma is yeasty with some funky and fruity tones – reminds me of Puls nisu. Flavour has some grassy tones, bun dough, funky yeasty notes and some banana. Finishes with more grass – this has actually more hoppy tones than hefes usually. Some distant yeasty off-flavour at the end of the glass. A bit floury but nice still.

Quite interesting that their pale lager looks less filtered than this. I wonder what makes this a wheat ale? The extra hops? Tastes more like hefeweizen.

Draught@brewpub 27.5.13 Slightly hazy yellow color, decent white creamy head, lace. Light citrus in the nose, not much banana. Light bodied, crisp dry mouthfeel. Some bubblegum, citric, even a bit tart. Quite empty and watery.

Quite good and refreshing too. Green yello in colour and nice foam and gassy. Nice touche there too.

25cl on tap at the brewpub. Clear golden with a minimal, white head. Took some time to fill the glass and it was quite a strange procedure. Looks like a lager but the aroma says different. Moderate fruity and wheaty aroma with hints of banana and cloves. Some slighly unpleasant stuff is also present. Medium sweet with some sour notes. Quite refreshing, but also boring...

Draught poured in a dimpled mug. Filling the glass took very long, so it might have been the end of the barrel. Yellow almost clear color, very little haziness. White and quickly disappearing head. Mild malty aroma. The initial flavor is lightly malty, but it is quickly displaced by the strong bitter notes of ginger, clove and grass. The crisp bitterness remains until finish. Dry mouthfeel. More bitter than an average wheat beer.

(Keg at Kochi Ait Trahter, 20130703) The beer poured golden and a bit hazy. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had banana, clove and fruitiness. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were banana, clove, fruitiness, grass and bitterness. Aftertaste was fruity and bitter. A nice hefeweizen.
