sampled on tap a while ago but i’ll rate the bottled version sampled on the weekend. i’m not sure if it was linc’s presence, but this really reminded me a lot of little creatures pale ale. the aroma is dominated by citric hops with loads of grapefruit and orange leaf and some gooey malt lurking; plenty of crisp and tangy bitterness with some faint herbal character suggesting menthol and even spearmint. well-balanced, a very good example of the style

0.5l bottle kindly traded with ElDesmadre. This one pours a strongly clouded dark copper body with a nice big off-white head that bots sticks around for a while and is leaving nice lacings down the glass. The aroma is really sweet and fruity! Almost peachy-fruity with lots of toffee and brown sugar. It has a slick to oily texture and the carbonation level is average to slightly soft. It’s definitely not sweet at all in the flavor! I was expecting a load of toffee caramel, but got absolutely nothing of that. What it actually has is a nice light piny grapy-bitter flavor, a bit thin in some way - like it really could have needed a bit more solid malt base to balance the (not extreme in any way, but still) hops. Also hints of butter and it has a more fruity finish. Yeah, a good session, really easy to drink and quite a tasty one. 04.04.2012

brown plastic bottle 1000ml. -Hazy orange/dark golden coloured, small to medium sized white head, fresh agrumey hoppy nose. Strong bitter agrumey hoppy taste with a way too heavy hop presence. Bitter finish and long-lasting aftertaste. One-dimensional, pitty.

Bottle. Brownish red with a frothy, quite durable head. Aroma is lots of hops - pine, mango, passion fruit, pineapple, white grapes, pineapple, grapefruit... plus biscuity malt and toffee. Lovely! Medium body, very aromatic flavour and quite a light, sessionable beer at once. Sweetish piney-tropical taste backed by malt and toffee, quite a strong grapefruit-like bitterness and an aftertaste of pine, grapefruit and passion fruit. Now this is what I call a great beer!
