bottle’s been in the closet for about a year. gusher. aroma is like a saison, lemon and farmhouseness with earthy hops. i guess a stale ipa, but it’s actually tasty. smooth with mellow bitter and nice crisp maltyness. very dry but smooth. huge pillowy yellowish head tops dirty yellow body.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Medium airy white head on top of a light cloudy orange colored beer.
Smell pils malt, some herbs, hint of fruit, hint of gass. Smell like a fruity pils.
Taste is better than smell: good nice bitter, fruit, hops, citrus, light abricot, hints of peach, herbs/spices.
Long good bitter hoppy aftertaste.
Low (to medium) carbo, medium (to lightly fuller) body, soft mouthfeel and a texture between watery and creamy.

Citrusy aroma, hay. Light orange, small white head, cloudy. Taste is mosty bitter as to be expected from an IPA. Full body, creamy texture, soft carbonation, bitter and longslastning finish. This beer can be recommended.

On tap at GBBF 2011. Hazy golden, with thick, fluffy white head. Smells good, with a bit of berry on the hop. Tastes fruitier than a standard US IPA, with some cake icing thrown in. Very nice.

Bottle. Liked this one. Lots of mango and apricots. Too bad that the yeast came through a little too miuch. Still nice though.

First off, awesome name for the brewery. Second this was my first IPA in months so it gets a bias, but I LOVED it. Nice mango in the smell and taste.

2.1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
750 ml. Hazy, golden body. Fizzy, white head. The aroma has notes of stinky cheese, grass, toasted grain, flowers, rotten fruit, citrus, earthiness and lacquer. The flavor is lightly sweet and moderately bitter. It finishes lightly sweet and moderately to heavily bitter. Medium body, creamy texture and lively carbonation. The beer is aggressively hopped. But the aromas and flavors are not appealing. The rotten fruit flavor gets overrun by bitterness which is a plus because bitter is better than rotten. Unpleasant.

UPDATED: SEP 29, 2014 Keg at the Euston Tap. Pours a slightly hazy gold with a creamy, white cap. Aroma holds a lot of buttered bread, some vegetables, hints of ripe orange. Flavor is quite sweet, honey and cakey bread, grassy bitterness, subtle pine, dank hay. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Warmish finish, some dry toastiness in the throat, hints of yeast, light pine. Seems like this beer is still trying to find itself. Alright. (10 June 2011, Score: 3.4)
Draft at the Great British Beer Festival 2014, Day 1 - London. Pours clear yellow with a white foam head. Nice. Some cleansing minerals, citrus peel, moderate sweetness. Light bodied with average carbonation. Gritty mineral finish with pale malts and rindy citrus. Not bad. (Score: 3.4)

Bottle. Hazy golden, frothy and quite durable head. Aroma is strong citrusy hops with a lingering graininess that resembles that of a Czech pilsener, plus some hay. Also a bit flowery and some faint strawberries. Great, fresh and rustical aroma. Carbonation slightly above moderate. Taste is lightly estery-malty at the front with a heavy and broad citrusy-grapefruity bitterness at the back, accompanied by that rustical grain-hay collage. Fantastic!

Keg at 6% at the Euston Tap. It pours hazy light straw yellow, with a very thin off-white head and high carbonation. The nose is sweet orange, hay, bread and straw. The taste is lemon, lime, sweet orange, metal, hay, grass, sweaty socks and cardboard. it starts out quite sweet and finishes with a citrusy, moderate bitter taste. Too much metal coming through from the carbonation. I agree with the previous suggestions that this is more like a hoppy lager.
