(Draugh at One Pint Pub, Helsinki, on 2009-05-25) Golden and clear. Medium sized white head. Light malty and fruity aroma. Medium bodied and dryish palate with medium carbonation. Malts, butter, hops, bitterness, sweetness and grass in taste. Bitter aftertaste. Not an IPA.

This beer pours a cloudy yellow with a medium white head. The aroma is old skunk. The mouthfeel is acidic, dry and bitter. Cheers!

Bottle 33 cl. Hazy golden with tiny foating impurities and an off-white head. Flowery - British? - hops, somewhat tea-like. Medium body, some sweet malt and a dry, lightly hoppy finish. Appears mostly like a well hopped Lager. 100211

Scopey (6180) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUN 2, 2011
Keg at 6% at the Euston Tap. It pours hazy light straw yellow, with a very thin off-white head and high carbonation. The nose is sweet orange, hay, bread and straw. The taste is lemon, lime, sweet orange, metal, hay, grass, sweaty socks and cardboard. it starts out quite sweet and finishes with a citrusy, moderate bitter taste. Too much metal coming through from the carbonation. I agree with the previous suggestions that this is more like a hoppy lager.

Bottle from Pivkupectví, Prague. Hazy dark gold colour, a bitterness that underlines the hops with grapefruit and citrus. Dry maltiness, medium carbonation. Not a bad IPA.

Vycap Richtar Jakub. Uz to nie je ten dobry stary Samurai. Vona ovocna, chmelova. V chuti nevyvazene. Prilisna ovocna sladkost, telo prazdne a potom chmelova supa, ale rychlo skonci. Nepresvedcilo ma to. Stary Samurai bol bomba, toto je sedy priemer.

0,5 l bottle as a gift.
Poured clean amber with a medium, foamy, delicious off white head. Firstly the aroma was a little bit unmatured but after a while come a little caramel with a bit of resiny hops. Medium-weak bodied beer with caramel and malt in the background, the unmatured, unpleasant diacetyl character bits again..But somewhere the flavors of IPA beers lurking with some resiny-citrussy hop, some fruity caramel. It would be better in the future i think.

Balazs (785) - Den Haag, NETHERLANDS - MAY 25, 2010
PET bottle. Pale yellow, with a white lacing foam. Not strong in the aroma compared to other IPAs. Mostly yeast, a bit of hops and slight fruitiness. Light, clear body with medium carbonation. Not very characteristic. but it’s a nice start to make something new there. I expected more, but keep working on it, it’s going in the right direction.

Nice head over hazy body. Aroma is interesting: A little lemony with a hard to define odd character. Taste was also slightly lemony, not very bitter, with citrus notes that evolved on your tongue. Palate was bitter, but not overly so.
