bastarda (413) - Freiburg, GERMANY - MAY 23, 2015
kindly shared by bartlebier, thanks a lot! Thourougly inviting aromas of plumwine with some herbal, also blackcurrant edges and sweet caramel morphing into nashi pear gelee. Taste brings up more caramel, creme brulee, sweet martini, white grapes; interesting carbonation, almost Brausestäbchen-fizziness, a bit strange, but artful in this context

Bottle 20cl kindly shared by Bartlebier thanks ! An amber beer with low head. Nose is on candied fruits, barley sugar, light plum, intense fruit bouquet. Aroma is on vanilla, fig, sweet malt, extremely complex, dry grapes, quite a liquor, very nice.

Bottle from a trade. Many thanks mmahut! Dark amber, no foam. Syrupy texture. Nose of caramel, stone fruit, and lots of honey. Is this a barley wine or a mead? Very sweet, but in a positive way. More liquor than beer. Good.

Bottle from a friend. Caramel and sugar on the nose. Very sweet taste with dried fruit, raisin, dates and such. Some toasted sugar and sweet caramel. Low carbonation. Almost like a liqour. Smooth mouthfeel. Surprisingly not very boozy. Great choice as a beer to celebrate new years eve.
