Good brew from the "Tom-Cat".....

Bottle. Dark amber almost red beer with a small offwhite head. Fruity and malty aroma. Smokey, malty, hoppy and a bit sweetish flavour.

17/04 A 0.5 l bottle, courtesy of ogivlado, great thanks for sharing! It poured nice, hazy copper body with medium sized head. Weaker fruit malty aroma, lot of peat and some herbal hops. Flavor showed fine smoked character, too, although it was way too sweet. Sugary, maple syrup, smoked ham. Light hop presence. Full, cloying body with long, nicely smoked delicacies in the finish, but also too sweet. Would definitely be better if fermented to a bit more alcohol.

Dark brown, thick head. Aroma is fruity, bitter with some yeast. The smoke is very light in the aroma, almost disappears in the taste, more sweet than I expected.

Bottled 500ml. -from Pivo, Budapest. Nice clear amber coloured, small off-white head, mild whiff of smoke in the nose. Light roasted malt, light smoke and mild hoppy notes but a way too sweet. Had better.

Bottle from Zly Casy Pivoteka, Prague. Copper/amber beer witha small offwhite head. Malty nutty aroma, fruity, grapes, caramel, some toffee, some smoke. Roasted malt flavor, salty, hay, fruity, smoked, sourish notes, some glue. A bit odd.

Ogi’s. Oooh, really hoped for a lot from this one. Kocour owns, I love smoked beers and I love American hops. And it has a T-Rex on the label too! What could go wrong? Well, let’s see. Poured a darker amber-red body with a small off white head. Light, light nose of pancetta and plastic. Damn. This is WAY too sweet for its own good. Light roastiness, light smoke, very very light bitterness/hop presence. Eh. Unappealing. Damn. Oh well...

Aroma: quite delicate, smoke, citrus hoppy, caramel maltiness; Appearance: dark amber/brownish, little hazy, quite big and frothy but not very long-lasting slightly tanned head; Taste: medium sweet, quite heavy bitterness (mostly in aftertaste); Palate: full body, thick feel, rather soft carbonation, long bitter finish; Overall: smoked IPA? interesting, very good and very "solid"

Aroma is malty with smoky hints. Very small head, quickly disappearing. Unpleasant body, not clear with big particles. Light brown colour. Very well balanced taste, strong bitterness and malt sweetness. Smoked flavours are present but not very intensive.

(draught) pours a hazy amber colour with a frothy off-white head. aroma of caramel, raisins, herbal hops, powdered sugar and a hint of roasted beef. flavour is mostly the same, bread dough, caramel and floral hops, quite alcoholic and unbalanced, with no smoke detectable. heavy-bodied with average carbonation.
