Bestie, která si nebere servítky. P.s. Nefnuknej, že jsme Tě nevarovali. Speciální zimní pivo. Svrchně kvašené, za studena chmelené. Nakuřovaný slad, americký chmel.

Note: Might’ve been 19° at some point.

25.03.2013. Bottle. Dark amber with small head. Aroma of citrus fruits with mango and strawberry. Smoky background. Smells nice but taste is worse. Only a little of citrus aroma is present and there is a strange smoke flavor, not aromatic, a bit ashy and unpleasant. Medium-high bitterness. Some alcohol note. Didn’t like it, though it’s not bad.

0.5 bottle from Főzdefeszt. Light brown colour. Beige head, with mild smoky aroma. Foam vanishes quickly. It tastes roasted and sweet. The beer itself tastes sweet. Malty, nutty and roasted flaovours in the background. Smoky, too. Not as smoky as the Bamberg beers, but still present all the time. Alcohol is there, too, Also, long smoky bitter-sweet aftertaste. Well, smokey and sweet, mostly. Dominantly sweet beer similar to the charming Bavarian bocks, but those Bavarian bocks do have some fruitiness which is missing here. An interesting and well composed beer, but too much one-sidedly sweet for me, after all.

Almost no head, amber liquid. Only a bit smoked notes in aroma, more in taste. The body is very full, almost greasy, but nice! I would add more hops and maybe smoke it a bit more. I think the brewers feared too much for going over the top. And they shouldn’t have! Good, but I hope the next generation will be better.

Brown body. Somewhat hazy. Head is really minimal, it vanishes in less than a minute. Interesting aroma. Some caramel, roasted and smoked malts with cocoa and nut scents noticeable. Taste is also interesting. Bitter-sweet in overall. Massive caramel dose with nut and cocoa at beginning. Then goes into sweet maltiness with bitter finish. Very drinkable and full-bodied. Taste is the best that can be in this beer.

Bottle, 7.2%. Citric aroma, smells off. Cloudy brownish colour. Small white head. The flavour is nicely malty and smoked. Has a little citric touch, but tastes all right. Might be off, but still a good beer.

Bottle @ Zentraleuropäischer Wahnsinn 2. Thank you, Geophagus! Pours slightly hazy with small off-white head. Sweetish, fruity aroma with malty notes. Bitter, hoppy flavour with sweet malty, caramellish and fruity notes. Sweetish aftertaste with an acidic note. OK. Off?

In bottle from Zly Casy bottle store .. nice beer ... a little harsh hoppiness at the start along with a kick of alcohol ... found it a little rough until it warmed a little .. otherwise not a bad beer .. I would consider buying again

Elég kiegyensúlyozott, a vége is enyhén füstölt, keserédes, kissé fásan fanyar. Nagyon jó választás lehet azoknak, akik még nem próbálták ezt a stílust, mert az eredeti Bambergiek könnyen sokkolhatják őket a kemény füstöltségükkel.
