0.33 bottle collected at the 4th Főzdefeszt. (also tasted on tap, those memories may have some impact on this rating, too). Big long lasting foamy head, smells and tastes fruity and bitter. Fresh, fruity taste (grabefruit and other citrus) from the beer itself, fighting with strong bitterness. In the end, bitterness prevails. Mild, just enough carbonation. Less complex than usual IPAs but very well balanced.

Aroma: fruity esters, some maltiness and hops on the background Taste: sweet malty notes, fruity (strawberries and apricots), light bitter finish Overall: quite unballanced beer

On tap at Főzdefeszt 2012 autumn. Hazy, light, golden brown colored beer with little, creamy, beige head. Piney, citrus, hoppy aroma with some honey. Dry, heavy bitter taste. Light body, slick texture, very soft carbonation with small bubbles. Dry, piney finish. Well hopped IPA, but the carbonation is to low. It’ s a bit watery.

Pours hazy brown with withe, longlasting foam. Smell of grapefruit, lemon and citrus fruits in general with a bit of grass, caramel and maybe bread in the background. Taste of grapefruits, lemon, passion fruit and a bit of pineapples. Very light caramel also shows up. Carbonation is high, but makes the beer actually quite drinkable. It’s a good beer, though it needs more balance. There is too little malt taste and hops aren’t strong enough to do perfect without malty taste. Anyway, it’s a good beer, quite session and enjoyable. Bought in bottle, drunk from Duvel’s tulip.

Plastic bottle. Pours cloudy red with decent tan head. Aroma is citrus fruits, especially orange, hops, hint of grass and malt. Flavor is bitter, with hops, citrus fruits and malt. Dry aftertaste. Simple but very enjoyable.

Bottle. Nice hazy brown colour with quite a lasting head. Aroma is floral, with citrus, passion fruit, red grapefruit, plus subtle notes of bread, caramel, strawberries and yeast. Dry body, rather high though pleasant carbonation, fruity, hoppy and estery flavour. Very good though not able to compete against Catfish Sumecek. It lacks body and this absence of a more significant malty base is not sufficiently compensated for by a hoppy flavour punch. Still very good.

bottle, picked up at pivoteka in pilsen. quite subdued for a kocour beer, i guess intended as more of a session beer although the only places you might find this beer have loads of other beers on tap so you’re unlikely just to stick to this one. anyways, lightly hazed amber; quite fresh hints of menthol and grass; pine forest; steady bitterness with some doughiness; steady but unspectacular all round

Hazy brown body with heavy head. Hops aroma with earthy background. Taste is little bit sour, with some pines. Smooth body with low carbonation, the head is doing a nice circles on my glass. Creamy texture with bitter finish.

Live rating. Bottle from a friend, poured into half pint dimple mug. Hazy copper with yellowy white creamy head of foam and almost no lace. Yeasty aroma with some grassiness. Rich grassy hoppiness in-mouth along with some leafy herbs. Finish is increasingly bitter with leafiness (bayleaf) remaining. Zingy mouthfeel and medium body. An enjoyable bottle.
