4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
bottle - xmas 2012 tasting chez baerwaldt, picked up at pivni rozmanitost. murky brown with a minimal head; inviting aroma of burnt banana and grapefruit; really well-balanced between some nutty, caramel malt and vibrant citric and tropical hops. even though it seems to have gone downhill a bit lately, it’s good to know kocour is still capable of coming up with something as well-crafted as this

4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Bottle. Medium brown and hazy with a frothy head. Aroma is strongly hoppy - mainly pine, also citrus and some pineapple. Also this beer has a beautifully rich maltiness - toasty, nutty, caramel, freshly ground coffee beans, that and some blueberries. Lovely! Very hoppy, fruity (tropical and forest fruit) and very malty taste. Sweetish upfront, some of the sweetness stays into the aftertaste but is skillfully countered by a strong hop bitterness that dominates the back of the mouth. In spite of the bitterness the beer is soft on the palate. The aftertaste is pine, nuts and coffee. Pure genius!
