COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Previously brewed at Anders.

330 ml. bottle @ Gollem. Hazy orange with a creamy egg-white head; nose is big esters, sweet banana, sugar. Classical sweet blond Belgian. Taste is sweet banana, faint moly yoghurt yeast, low fish guts, touch plastic but mainly basic sweet sugary banana & yeast, touch esters. Rather one note & big on sweetness with a big chunk of banana. Creamy & yeasty body. Bit too plastic & basic, this is an okay Belgian Ale, saison label is just marketing. Okay but a bit too generic, simpel, sweet etc.

Abboccata all’ingresso, poi secca.

Almost clear gold beer, fluffy off white head. Palate is light, fairly dry and has reasonable fine carbonation. Sweet malts, some cream. Mild spice. Pleasant orangey dried fruits. Light finish brings some citric and peel. Mild bitter linger. Decent.

330ml bottle bought at Craftissmo in Tsim Sha Tsui East.

Looks: Cloudy hazy golden colour with a ring of dirt-like yeast sediments; Explosive three finger head and crumpety white foam which lasts for 4 minutes; Beautiful sticky lacing with active small carbonation.

Aroma: Fragrant and slighty sweet malt, with strong orange, grapefruit peels, floral, bubblegum, sugar, cinnamon, strong Bel yeast, lemon and green grass.

Taste: Medium sweet Pils malt, with strong grapefruit oil, orange, light floral, fair molasses, strong herbs, dry biscuits, strong Bel yeast, strong bitter hops and sharp grass.

Body: Mid to light body. Dry and slick palate.

Mouth Feel: Fairy good maltyness in a thin but slick background. Spelt added some malty depth but no coarseness. Hops-driven with bitter citrus peels, orangey notes and strong herbs totally negate the sweetness. Refreshing!

Hoppiness: Amarillo-driven as in strong orange, grapefruit peels, floral, cinnamon, lemon and grass in nose. Strong grapefruit oil, orange, light floral, strong herbs and sharp grass in taste; Bitterness is very strong for a lasting, high astringent herbal bitter finish.

After Taste: Quite dry. Citrusy and very bitter to mouth. <P>Comments: This guys love to use American hops for Belgian style, and this fusion Saison is a bit light on body, but with great looks and head, honest maltyness, and fruity spicy aroma and sharp and smart bitterness. Refreshing Summer quencher with an attitude. A cool buy!

33 cl bottle.
Pours clear golden color with a large frothy white head. Very floral and herbal aroma, slightly yeasty with citric fruity notes. Sweet toffee and ripe fruit on the flavor, some spicy kick which is strengthened by a very strong carbonation, maybe a bit too strong. Feels more like a Tripel than a Saison.
