Bottled. Clear brown color, big frothy off-white head. Aroma of caramel malt, some sugar. Quite sweet taste, molasses indeed, caramel malt, sugary. Bit off-balance.

Back Log: bottle thanks to bu11zeye. Pours light brown with beige head. Aroma of faint candy sugar, light caramel, faint vegitable, malt and fruit. Flavor is much the same with a nice tang. Light body with fizzy carbonation. Not bad!

(30cl bottle thanks to bu11zeye) rich copper color with a thick tan head. Nose of cherry, light and funky, caramel and cream. Taste of cherry, vinous, lightly tart, nice linger. Creamy and fruit linger on the palate.

sayravai (4548) - Helsinki, FINLAND - AUG 20, 2011
(Bottled, 8% ABV) Hazy dark brown with a large, firm but quickly descending head. Vinegary-tart nose with caramely maltiness. Flavor is also somewhat tart (infected?), but the caramely maltiness is quite dubbel-like. Not too sweet, but maybe some vegetably notes. Medium body, soft and low CO2. One could call this spoiled, but in some strange way I found this quite enjoyable. 4255

Cavie (3248) - Fort Worth, Texas, USA - MAR 4, 2011
Bottle courtesy bu11zeye. Slightly cloudy orangish color with a very small amount of carbonation. Aroma is a bit of slight soured apple with a tart raisin scent. Flavor is a mix of sweet raisins and plum with a tart grape flavor as well. Finishes grainy wheat and tart.

Countbeer (1943) - Best of Eindhoven ohne Brauhaus, NETHERLANDS - MAR 19, 2010
Bottle: This smelled so bad that I got nauseated. Sour smell and infected. Completely different smell than beer, like bad wine that went sour. Color is brown amber and a small white beige quick disappearing head. Taste is disgusting. Sour vomit like taste. No hops, no body no balance. I have never in my life thrown a beer away, but after a couple of gulps this went through the toilet.

   AROMA 5/10   APPEARANCE 3/5   TASTE 2/10   PALATE 2/5   OVERALL 7/20
Borresteijn (2760) - Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - DEC 30, 2009
30cl Bottle from a gift pack, Monnikbier 2009, ABV 8.5% if I recall correctly. Clear deep reddish brown colour, creamy beige head. Sour and oxidized aroma, papery cinnamon, sour fruits, red wine. Flavour is light malty, sour, dry, some dark fruits. Medium bodied, lively carbonation. Heavily infected, I found this to be undrinkable.
