Hazy dark amber with a tiny beige head. Aroma had lacto, roasted malt and berries. Flavour was sour and had lacto, roasted malt and again sourish berries. Finished sour. Might not be intended but came out nice as a flemish red.

Bottled. A hazy dark amber beer with a thin orangey head. The aroma has notes of brettanomycs, fruit, caramel, and malt. The flavor is sweet with acidic notes of brettanomyces and lacto, as well as notes of malt, fruits, bread, and caramel, leading to a dry lightly sour finish. Nice.

Bottle 30 cl. Courtesy of fonefan. Pours a hazy amber with floating impurities and a beige head. Tart, lactic nose. Medium body, tart and lactic with woody red wine accents - quite delicious but probably not intented. Dry finish. 141109

Borresteijn (2760) - Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - MAY 20, 2009
30cl Bottle at home, birthday gift. Dark reddish brown colour, thin lasting creamy off white head. Aroma of red wine, dark fruits, light sour, wet paper. Flavour is sweet dark malts and fruits, raisins, figs, light sour grapes, paper with a faded cinnamon taste, coriander, some other spices. Tastes oxidized. Light sour fruity finish. Tastes like a really big beer, has a lot of nice flavours when tasted separately, but they don’t blend in very well. Medium bodied, lots of CO2. This beer has potential.

Bottle. Dark brown color. Soft malty aroma with notes of caramel and porto. Malty sweetish, roasted flavor with caramel, raisin, hints of porto and licorice. Medium bodied. Absolutely drinkable, though not world class.

Bottle@Home. I said to myself the first beer below 8% will be the one to drink tonight. Man I was passed that it turned out to be one from Koelschip. But I promissed myself so... Fruity, raisin, light malty, light lactic aroima. Clear, reddish brown, huge beige head, fair lace. Sweet, very bitter, lots of spices, licorice, laurel, strong hop flavors like grass and twigs, especially in the finish very bitter. Sparkling, light metallic, alcohlic. Unbalanced. bit over the edge here and there but still better than expected.
