Good straightforward Baltic porter but it could have used something to give it a little more flavor and make it a bit more interesting.

Poured black with a thick tan head. Aroma has lots of caramel and chocolate with some nuts and bourbon. Taste is slightly watery with chocolate malts and nuts. Slightly creamy with some wooden characteristics. Finish is bitter with chocolate, and dark fruits. Overall pretty good, but nothing too amazing.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 beerchugger (709) - North Canton, Ohio, USA - NOV 6, 2010
The head is rather full but dissappates quickly leaving some attractive lacing behind. The nose is actually a bit delicate offering aromas of bitter roast and dark fruits like dates. Loads of bitter roasted malts, dates, and chocolate covered raisins. The mouthfeel is a bit thin, but fits the beer well. The finish has a nice bitter end.
