330 ml bottle. Pitch black, with a thick creamy light brown head. Sweet aroma of roasted malts, dark fruits, coffee and dark chocolate. THe flavour is like the aroma, with a nice bitter and slightly burned hoppy finish. Smooth mouthfeel. By far the best Finnish beer I’ve tasted.

33 cl bottle. Pours completely black, with some ruby highlights. Wonderful thick, llonglasting and tan head, I’d say almost brown. Amazing, rich and complex nose, which even improves and develpos more tones when the temprarture increases a little bit. A sweet caramel and vanilla background, where coffee and bitter chocolate notes are well embedded, followed by fruits (figs, plums). The flavor starts lightly sweet but turns roasty bitter with a alcoholic warmth in the finish. Medium and almost silky body, pretty dry. Wonderful porter.

33cl bottle poured into an English pint. KP (Sinebrychoff Porter IV) pours extremely dark brown with a thin tan head. I smells like licorice, prunes and a touch of alcohol. There’s also a hint of warm maple syrup or possible molasses. The body is just the right consistency for a porter, a tad thinner than a stout. The taste is a superbly balanced mixture of roasted grains, chocolate and just a hint of dark fruits. This beer is extremely drinkable and can easily be held up as a role-model for brewers world wide.

(Finland) Pours a nice black color with zero head. The aroma is of roasted malts, chocolate, vanilla, and caramel. Taste of chocolate big time, with caramel, and malts. The mouthfeel is very smooth and ends with a slight bitterness. This porter is well balanced and is recommended. :)

330ml Bottle: Aroma of chocolate, smoke, and burnt malts. Poured black in color with a medium to large-sized, dense, rocky, creamy brown head that lasted throughout. Opaque. Excellent lacing. Lightly sweet flavor. Tastes of chocolate, malts, slight soy sauce, sour milk, cream, roasting, a tad of vanilla, and a hint of bitter hops. Medium to full body. Thick, creamy, slightly dry texture. Soft carbonation. Malty, chocolate finish is a bit dry.

Thank you, mcbackus! Pours black with a fairly large brown head, lasting ring of foam. Aroma of dark chocolate, chocolate milk, almonds, vanilla, coffee-astringency, toast, just really really nice overall. Tastes similar with dark chocolate, dark rye toast, nuts, coffee, wood and finishes slightly astringent at first. Thankfully the finish evolves into this really nice bitter toasted almond flavor. Really nice aftertaste effectively counters any astringent elements. Medium bodied, but the creaminess makes this feel substantial and the carbonation is also moderate. Quite good!
