Bottle. Blackish beer with a nice tan head. Big chocolate, caramel, malt aroma. Caramel malt flavor with light roast/espresso and slight mineral notes. Medium bodied. Lingering mineral, caramel, and light roast.

Best of the night, shared by Fidel. Pours almost black with a decent, dark tan head. This was a big beer in nose and flavor. Complexity flowed with chocolate, molasses, roasted malt, finishing a bit dry and subtle bitterness. Very good beer.

Got a bottle at Spuyten Duyvil. Pours black with a tan head. Aroma of dark malts and hops. The flavor has tons of dark malts and bitter hops, but not too bitter. I didn’t think it was as creamy as other people have said... it has a certain dryness in the finish that left me just wanting more. A really great beer.

Pours a deep dark black with a medium tan head. This beer has a malty, somewhat sweet aroma that is populated by chocolate, coffee, vanilla. The flavor is quite similar, with a creamy texture. A quite wonderful beer.

pours dark black with medium tan head. Aroma is very appetizing coffee & molasses, some chocolate, rye bread, light vanilla. Flavour is quite bitter after that sweet aroma. Burnt malt, bitter choc., molasses and vanilla. well blended alc. A little thin tasting for me though.

This not really a porter, more like stout. The flavour says "burnt rye bread" to me. Not really my favourite

Bottle purchased at Gordon’s n New London, CT.

Pours tar, thin tan head. Aroma is molasses, malt, coffee, anise, vanilla, caramel, pine. Flavor is the same and smoky chocolatey with roastiness. This is a damn good porter even if I do say so myself
