330ml bottle served in a brandy snifter. Poured an opaque black with quickly dissipating tan head. Not a lot of carbonation. Fruity aroma with some cocoa and molasses. Nice creamy mouthfeel. Plenty of malt, slightly sweet. Some roasted malt. A little hop bitterness in the middle and finish to balance the malt. Long dry lingering finish of coffee. Good stuff.

Looks as gorgeous as a beer can: thick, black, several fingers’ worth of frothy tan head and intricate lacing. Artwork in a glass. Aroma is cold cave, damp, delicious, cellar, can, simple. Stunning roasted aftertaste, nuanced, complex, smooth, rich, and moreish. Flavor proceeds along an impressive extended arch with smooth coffee entry, chewy middle, and a lingering burnt finish. Mouthfeel is soft, silky, smooth, and thins out slightly at the end. 100% enjoyment in spite of "starch" being listed as an ingredient on the label (which is billed as Sinebrychoff Porter IV).

33cl bottle labeled as Sinebrychoff Porter IV. Pours a very dark brown as it flows out of the bottle. Once in the glass, it is a rich black with a tan head. Plenty of molasses in the nose, along with a little malt. The flavor is of coffee and a little brown sugar. Medium body with a smooth bitterness. Finish is warm, with a bitter, but not unwelcome, aftertaste.

33 cL bottle, thanks to Grovlam. Pours dark brown with a huge dense light brown head, perfect pour. Light roasted malt, slight alcohol nose and dark malt. Flavour is mild smoked flavour with mild chocolate smoothness and a nice roasted note. Smooth finish with a solid bitterness mixing with roasted malt notes. Beautiful pour, faint aroma and good flavour.

Bottle [Thanks to Harri for bring it back from Finland] Huge brown creamy head that really lasted. Excellent lacework. Pitch black colour. Aroma of coffee, dark chocolate, roasted malt, grain, oat, hint of dried fruit and what feels like a hint of smoke. Over the palate roasted malt, light bitter liquorish and coffee. Full bodied with an average carbonation and light dry, alcoholic and thick texture. Moderated sweet and bitter flavour. Dark chocolate like bitter finish.

Bottle 33cl labelled as Sinebrychoff Porter IV, from Southern Seasons, Durham, NC. Pours a good dark brown colour with a steady deep tan head. Offers up a typical porter aroma of dark fruits and berries and chocolate malts. Fine flavours of chocolate, and dark roast coffee, with the dark fruits coming through with touches of sweetness. Has a lingering bitterness on the palate. It was thinner than I was expecting, but still very drinkable.

Bottle at home ... Thanks to Pat ... Deep solid black ... nice roast and lots of alcohol in nose ... roast malt ... bit bitter ... some hop character ... bit over powerful with the balance a bit off but still ok.
