Jul 13, 2007 Pours a black color with a dark brown head. Aroma is roasted malts and weak coffee. Taste is actualy pretty sweet with dark candi sugar and dark fruits (mostly plums) hitting the tounge. A light roasted flavor hits at the very end of the sip. Didn’t taste the soy sauce that others were getting in fact I thought that this beer was very sweet and not really salty at all. Good stuff and would have again.

Jul 11, 2007 Bu à Mc Kay’s Public House à Bar harbor, Maine, en boutelle de 33 cl. Brune très foncée, peu de collet. Arome de chocolat fuge malté, un peu de caramel anglais. Goût de malte torrifier, chocolat mi-amère et quelque fruits un peu sûrettes. Tout une surprise!

Jul 10, 2007 Bottle - Pours dark brown/black, tan head. Notes of sweet malt, roasted nuts, coffee, bitter hops. Flavor is not as complex as I thought: coffee, roasted malt, bitter baking chocolate, dry aftertaste.... a hint of fruit. Decent mouthfeel with a finish of hops.

Jul 9, 2007 Tap, Café Morshuis Albergen. Almost opague with a grey, lasting head. Roast bitter flavor with a pleasant raspberry fruitiness. Just a bit thin. Roast bitter aftertaste. Not a very rich Baltic porter but very tasty.

Jul 9, 2007 The color was a deep coffee black. The head was dark tan, foamy, frothy, and thick. The aroma resembled an imperial stout. It consisted of chocolate tones and roastyness. The flavor was soy sauce, waxy, bitter, coffee malt, and roasty. The palate was smooth. The finish was roasty.

Jul 8, 2007 Bottle, It poured an opaque black/brown hue with a tan head which had some lacing. Aroma was very rich with a roasted mocha note. Flavor was sweet with cocoa with a pleasant hop bite. Finish was almost syrupy.

Jul 7, 2007 Poured an oil black brew but lacked the viscosity. Had a thick brown creamy head. Resembled an ris (minus the thick head). The nose showed soy sauce prominently, a slight sweetness, dark sugars. The flavor was dark roasty, coffee, sweet, soy sauce. The palate was thinner than an ris and more carbonated. The finish showed the 7% but just barely. I was thoroughly impressed with this Baltic Porter.
