Bottle. Pours black with two inches of khaki foam. Notes of chocolate and vanilla on the nose. Big bitterness on the tongue. A bit of roasting as well. This one tends to linger nicely.

Not going to lie, I’m very biased towards this beer. This is the beer that started my craft beer experience. Pours of chocolate oil with no/thin chocolate brown head(cappuccino). Smells of chocolate/dark chocolate with a slight smokey hint. Its almost indescribable the taste this beer has because I feel like god may strike me down for drinking such an awesome creation. Notes of chocolate, dark rich caramels, smokeyness and liqueur boozy Finnish*(did this on purpose). Awesome beer, perfect to drink in winter or cold months. TRY THIS BEER!

Serving: 330 ml. bottle from State Line Liquors. It pours pretty much pitch black with a very dense head of brown foam. The nose has lots of chocolate and roasted malt. Maybe a pinch of dark fruit. The flavor has lots of roasted notes and flint with a little coffee and dark fruit. The chocolate from the nose is there but in the background. This is one tasty brew. Almost full bodied with softer than average carbonation leading to a medium to long roasty finish. Outstanding from start to finish.

Yet another domestic beer that really works. Almost pitch black and a rich taste.

0.33 Bottle Soft and sweet aroma, so dark color and rich foam when pours. Very balanced taste between sweet and hops. Palate is soft but still fills your mouth. Best thing is that balanced taste. Every one have to keep one of this in stock!

Bottle. Pitch black color. Smells of clove, vanilla, coconut and hazelnut cofee. . Lighter on the palate tehn it looks. Nice and thick with lots of complexity

33 cl bottle as ”Sinebrychoff Porter IV”, BBE 18.06.2009. Rated on 30.4.2011
Tasted in a vertical with 8 different batches from years 2008-2011. This was the oldest and best bottle.
Aroma is very close to a good IS. Lots of chocolate and roasted malt. Flavour has lots of chocolate too, but also hints of harsh, unpleasant bitterness can be observed. Very good baltic(?) porter anyway.
