Bottle labeled as best before 6/23/03. Pours opaque brown black with giant long lasting head. No discernable carbonation. Soy sauce and prunes in the nose. Full bodied with light malt sweetness and prune/roasted malt flavors. Vinous quality, reminiscent of port wine. Finishes with roasted coffee and burnt malt aftertaste. Smooth in the mouth. Though the port wine characteristic is somewhat overpowering, this is a very good drinkable porter. ratman197 (3200), Arvada, Colorado, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 10, 2006 This one suffered being in comparison to the Olfabrikken, which we sampled directly before. A big sweet treacle aroma. Doesn’t seem to have the depth of flavour that the abv should command - it’s fairly bland and a bit watery. Good beer, but I expected more from this. | 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Mar 8, 2006 Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color porter with a medium dark creamy had with very good retention. Aroma of chocolate is omnipresent with a nice touch of bitterness. Body is full and has a nice creamy texture that is very enjoyable. Taste is also dominated by the chocolate malt with nice light bitter ending. Very nice example for the style and probably even better then Okocim.
