Braudog (3463), Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates Mar 2, 2004 Wow, what a presentation ... thick black beer with a dark tan solid head, like I'd dropped a scoop of coffee ice cream into it. The beer is elegantly creamy, wonderfully roasty, lightly hopped with a light sweet finish. This is the best porter I've ever had.
NomDeBeer (129), Baltimore, Maryland, USA Aug 18, 2008 Smells of sweet, dark fruits, and roasted malt. Pours a thick black with a small tan head that diminishes quickly. Taste is more dark fruit, roasted ashy malt, and chocolate. Smooth and sweet with hardly any bitterness. Long, dry finish of chocolate and nuts. Excellent after-taste that lingers well after swallowing. My favorite Baltic Porter so far. dkachur (726), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA Aug 17, 2008 11.2 oz. bottle from Wine Warehouse. This is the Sinebrychoff Porter IV label. Nearly black pour with a one finger head. Roasted malt aroma with coffee and milky notes. Taste is roasted malts with coffee, caramel, milky, nutty and bitter hop notes. Medium body. JK54B (277), Finland Aug 17, 2008 A .33L bottle from Alko. Dark brown colour. Brown head with big bubbles. Some metal in the taste. Taste of mocca-coffee. Not too much sugar. jzzbassman (684), New Albany, Mississippi, USA Aug 16, 2008 Bottle. Really dark pour with a small chocolate malt head. Very roasty aroma with licorice hints. Bitter chocolate and coffee flavor ending dry with hints of nut. Very nice beer. matt7215 (542), Cambridge, Ontario, Canada Aug 9, 2008 330 ml bottle from my secret santa (summer 08). shared with jessem. pours black with a small tan head. soft carbonation. aromas are all roasted malts. chocolate, anise, roasted barley, caramel. flavours are similar with the caramel really showing. a little thin, a little to sweet. some astrigency. not a bad brew but this one might have been past its prime.
