COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Kokanee is a 5.0 percent alcohol (by volume) lager that is smooth, clean and lightly hopped. It is brewed with mountain stream fed water and a blend of 3 malts and features a unique combination of superior Western-grown North American hops. Brewed in the Kootenay Mountains of British Columbia by the Columbia Brewing Company, Kokanee is British Columbia's most popular beer over the last 10 years. Since its introduction to the Northwest U.S. in the summer of 1994, many people have discovered and enjoyed Kokanee's cool, crisp, glacier fresh taste.

12 oz. bottle. pours the clearest of yellows, white cap. nose is sweet corn broth, little bitters. mouth is clean, while brothy, ending with a dry light finish. overall clean and easy tasting, with an overly long lasting astringent finish.

Poured from 11.5oz bottle into pint glass. Appearance: pours a thick sudsy white head which slowly recedes with moderate lacing. Color is clear straw with plenty of streaming carbonation. Aroma: lightly toasted barley malt dominates with a bit of grassy herbal hops in the background. Mouthfeel: light and crisp with a quite dry finish. Flavor: sweet barley malt, some corn sweetness, some mild hop in the finish. There is also a bit of paperiness and a bit of green apple. Overall: a mild, pleasant, refreshing lager.

Pours bright straw gold with a inch of white soapy foam that fell fast and left no lace just a thin ring. Nose is pristine. Light sweet corn and a bit of grain. No fruit. The hops show up only to give a bit of grass. Tatse is crisp, clean and mild except for a bit of bite from carbonation. Has a thin body with a touch of dry cracker and sweet corn. No fruit. I really like it. As it warms rather than discover a bunch of off flavors that compel you to drink this quickly, this one shows off a bit of water that I would say tastes like new snow. They claim to use mountain stream water in their brewing.

Can 355 ml from Drinks of the World - Bern (CH). Blonde with low expressive aromas. The mouth is soft-sweetened, mellow with cereals, hay and syrup-toffy. Almost imperceptible hop. Bubbly and slightly sticky. For Sasquatch not very demanding.

No retention and light lacing. Smells of cereal and grass. Tastes of apple, stale malt and grain. No aftertaste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

The appearance has a super light golden colored body with a soft white half fingered head that leaves a white foamy ring with some bubbles that form on the top of the beer. The smell has corn/rice adjuncts, light sweet malts, and has nothing offensive to it. The taste basically has a sweet unbalanced creaminess with a sweet creamy aftertaste with it being a little sticky in the finish. On the palate, its light and very sessionable. I could pound these on a warm summer’s day (if I wanted to). Carbonation is slightly creamy and comes across inoffensive. Overall, my final assessment is that its not bad its just nothing enthralling.

Draught. Pale gold with a short lived head. Aroma is light grainy, flavor is similar, standard enough but drinkable.

Can- Non-existent aroma, the BC lager has a light straw and slightly bronze colour and produces a small white head. Has a strong breadiness taste with a corn aftertaste. If a patron wanted to try a popular canadian brewed beer for the first time I would not recommend this one. Average pale lager

Clear pale straw. Surprisingly crisp and clean for a pale lager. There is a adjunct corn like malt flavor in the middle. I wouldn’t reach for it again, but I had to have one.

Can - Light grains and very sweet. Pale gold with a fizzy head that disappears almost immediately. Sweet apple and corn. Another sweet pale lager that is not good nor offensive.
