Commercial Description:
Kokanee is a 5.0 percent alcohol (by volume) lager that is smooth, clean and lightly hopped. It is brewed with mountain stream fed water and a blend of 3 malts and features a unique combination of superior Western-grown North American hops. Brewed in the Kootenay Mountains of British Columbia by the Columbia Brewing Company, Kokanee is British Columbia's most popular beer over the last 10 years. Since its introduction to the Northwest U.S. in the summer of 1994, many people have discovered and enjoyed Kokanee's cool, crisp, glacier fresh taste.

This is the only beer I want on tap in western Canada. Even from a bottle or can it is great.

For being a mass produced cheap beer, it’s not too bad. I would drink it if on special somewhere.

(Bottle) This one looked like a cheap beer, and tasted as such. A poor macro-brew, but to its credit, it is not too sweet. It was worth trying.

As pale a pale lager as you will find. Very light golden. No head, and I poured hard. Almost no carbonation to be seen, and it sure can’t hide. Aroma matches everything else, none. Very faint flavor of malt, metal, adjunct, and hop. Unpleasant soapy taste. It is kind of like a cheap soda bought at a WalMart. Not lawnmower beer, lawn watering beer!

Bottle bought at the Utah State Store. Pours a very clear yellow with a small white head. Usually, I see a beer with this much clarity as a good thing in a pale lager. The aroma is is mostly skunky and metallic notes. The taste is pretty bad; first, it surprises me how much alcohol is in the taste, like a over fermented batch of corn and stagnant water. Some soap and odd metal in there too. Sorry, but this was pretty bad.

Well I was really really thirsty after walking around quite a bit in the Niagara Falls area and it was a good thirst quencher. But it was extremely light. No off taste but not much taste or aroma and very pale.
