From Tap in the Zoiglstube/ The head is robust. It smells very aromatic, a bit bitter. The taste is spicy, a bit herb, very easy to drink. Very good and cheap! 13/12/13/12/-/13

on tap at the zoiglstube 2009 tag der kommunbrauer. golden with a touch of orange; aroma of rockmelon in brown sugar with a bit of pond scum; hints of yeast bite in passionfruit nectar and white grape; chalky finish; not a standout but still a decent zoigl

Tap at Zoiglhaus. Slightly sour barley malt aroma. Hazy amber color with moderate head. Slightly sweet barley malt with moderately bitter herbal hops. Lighter malt but stronger hops than the average Zoigl - tasty.

Bright gold, stable head. Aroma has slight pedio; grassy hops. Juicy body with very crisp, dry finish. Bursting with hop character. Smooth and crisp with lasting hop bitterness in the finish. Tons of minerals and salt. Very hoppy zoigl. The pale malt backbone is nice too.

Hazy tan. Thick head. The aroma is herbal and a bit foamy. Herbal hops, soft malt. Almost a bit sticky in the finish. Good zoigl, but not as much bite as the rest of the them.

3fourths (6409) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - OCT 19, 2009
draft at kackn, 2009 tag der kommunbrauer. faintly hazed golden hay colored body, decent head formation and retention but lacking the stoic and rocky topped head that was found in so many other zoigls. notes of diacetyl and sharp spiced herbs in the nose. silky and oily texture, light sharpness/bite in the finish... wet, soggy and bitter hops clash with some sort of caramel or toffee malt flavor. too many minor problems in this one prevent it from really being enjoyable.

Tap @ Zoiglstube. Orange blonde, almost clear. Malty slightly peppery aroma. Malty bready flavor with orange and earthy and peppery hops. Peppery hops lingering on in the aftertaste. Just a hint of honey. One of my favorite zoigls.

(draught) pours a hazy amber colour with a frothy, short-lived white head. aroma of pale malts and some characteristic diacetyl. flavour is the same, with a hint of lychee and a nice herbal grainy bitter finish. medium body with smooth carbonation.

pivnizub (7240) - Bochum, Porúří, GERMANY - OCT 26, 2008
On tap: A bit unclear, deep golden, smaller, quite stable white head; solid dry-hoppy (Tettnang, Hallertau ??) nose, moderate to robust dry bitter flavour, light bodied; short hoppy finish. Fine, spicy brew..........
