Draft at the Alter Pfarrhof. Cherry and barley malt aroma. Hazy amber color with a nice head. Sweet barley malt, light cherry and moderately bitter herbal hops. Excellent - nice hops flavor.

draught at Loistl. Hazy deep golden colour, large, creamy off-white head. Malty, hoppy, yeasty - full-bodied and with a great smooth palate. Good hop character.

on tap at the brewpub, march 2010, big thanks to sebastian and ina for the little detour on the way from pilsen to leipzig. luckily we ended up getting in just as they were opening on a wednesday afternoon and i had the first and, by my reckoning, 8th loistl zoigl of the day. glorious stuff - golden, bright and hazy simultaneously with a rocky head; loads of juicy aromas - granny smith, peach nectar and some grassiness tending to woodiness, wicker basket; buttery mouthfeel; pure grainy taste with hints of metallic mineral water and butterscotch. my favourite zoigl to date. next goal: drinking10 loistl zoigls and then saying loistl zoigl quickly 10 times

Draught at the brewpub. Good fruity aroma, a faint vinous hint. Cloudy orange colour. Small white head. Good fruity flavour. Medium bitterness, distinct and perhaps slightly rough. But all well balanced. Good mouthfeel.
